    Afternoon all.

((((Pen-Pin)))) It's horrible when the meds make you feel worse than the illness they're supposed to treat, isn't it?

MSD I hope your tooth has settled down now.

    Ruth sorry for your loss.

SunnyGirl glad to hear that your dad's op went well.

Can't seem to get myself motivated to do anything today. Too darned hot, for a start.

I do need to get my thinking cap on and start designing a card for some friends Ruby Wedding which is next month - they're the landlord and landlady of our favourite pub, so maybe I can do something on a Robin Hood theme.

I'm a complete novice at card-making. Am hoping to do my own Yule cards this year as I always have trouble finding ones that I like at a reasonable price, but I don't really and truly know how to go about doing them.

Oh well, enough ramblings for now.

Hope everyone is having a good day.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Ruth sorry to hear about your MiL we will be thinking of you on Tuesday.
NPM glad the consultation went well, now lets hope they can alleviate the pain somewhat.
Diva hope the toothache has eased by now.
Pink - I love the punishment, I am sure he will think school is the easy option from now on!
SunnyGirl - glad things went well for your DF, hope he is soon home for some TLC!

Day off work today, have been washing and ironing all morning and have hairdresser coming this afternoon.

Struggling today a little as not feeling very well at all. I am supposed to be going to Spain on wednesday for a couple of weeks (stopping at my DB holiday home there). However, I went to see GP yest as monthly events which stopped appearing 2 years ago and I thought I was finished with, have now suddenly started to reappear.
I have another chaperoned appt with him tomorrow morning, after which he says he will probably refer me to the hospital for a urgent 2 week gynae appt, so I am not sure what will happen. Feel very unsettled and worried at the moment! Well tbh not really sure what to think! I will have to wait and see what he says tomorrow!

Anyway am going to keep busy for rest of day, I have lots of ironing to do as weather has been fantastic for drying and I have 3 loads of washing done and dried today, and still another line full.

    Have a good day all

    Afternoon all,

Not feeling great to-day, late nights don't agree with me anymore I think, only had two glasses of wine, so I think that it was the 2.45 bedtime that was responsible...was good while it lasted!

Penpin...enjooy your drive, hope that meds stop messing you up soon.

Pink...nobody knows what to make of the mad Irish first time they are exposed, that could be DD's boyfriend's problem...good on you with DS1's punishment.

Diva, hope that toothache is gone.

NPM....hugs....hope that you feel better soon.

Nic1...hope that you get fast diagnosis and solution.

Ruth...sorry to hear about your MIL, hard to part, hugs to all your family.

Sunnygirl, glad to hear that your father will be home soon.

Fish for dinner, with bok choi and steamed new spuds I think....

Hugs to all in need or want

Ruthibe Sorry about your MIL but I, too, hope that having her family with her helped. ((hugs)) to you all.

Noahsmum Glad it's nothing serious & sending headache diminishing vibes your way. Dad has had his treatment in Manchester Royal as it's the nearest one to us with an angio lab. Lots of Manchester hospitals have gone it would seem - Booth Hall childrens hosp is merged with Pendlebury now. I was laughing that you don't like injections but are fine giving them to your patients :rotfl:

Diva Hope the toothache has eased. I'd be tempted to go back as not brushing for one night shouldn't cause that.

Nic1lou2 I hope that it's just a peculiarity of a womans body for you ((hugs))

Pink :rotfl: Loving the punishment! I do similar myself ;) There is a swineflu outbreak at DS2's school at the moment but only Year 8's have been sent home. DS keeps telling me that there's no point going in as only 9 pupils were in registration yesterday. I told him that it was brilliant that there was such a fabulously low teacher/pupil ratio & did he realise how much it would cost us if we were to pay privately for that? :T He wasn't impressed!

We've visited Dad who looks very well & pink lipped (they did have a purpley/blue tinge to them before). He is itching to get home tomorrow & start his rehab & tend to his garden/car/caravan

I've made a lovely smelling korma for tea but then realised that I've ran out of rice so I'm serving it in bowls with naan breads.

Morning all, a whole day of marking again for me again as my deadline is creeping up.

I started making a top last night only cut the pattern back to front because I was so knackered - another one to add to the cushion cover pile! Doh - at least it was only the lining though! I am determined to replicate my new dress in multiple colours and want to use the pattern for the top to make the top separately, but am finding sourcing fabric an issue and I cut first think later. It's quite funny given I spend all day playing with structures and computer modells why I can't see which way up something goes! :o

I made this last week to take to work for my birthday

    CIMG1748.jpg

I ran out of eggs so had to throw in half a jar of nutella and some soya yogurt instead. Ironic really, given I hate nutella and strawberries, but everyone else said it was fine!

Tea will be... er... OH's job :D

    Diva - he's so cute :)
PP - sorry your not feeling too well.
