Sorry I've only skimmed really but Maz I just echo everyone else's comments. You absolutely deserve to be happy and convenience isn't that... but whatever you do has to be what YOU want and WHEN you want so just take your time
It took me about six months to leave my ex-OH, and that was without kids involved so don't feel pressured or rushed.0 -

Afternoon all
DH booked a surprise day off for my birthday, he wrote me a lovely poem, made us a picnic and took me off strawberry picking for the morning.....was lovely.
Maz - I've done the split thing - my girls were 5 and 2 and it was upsetting to see them so upset....but I think you get to the stage when you know you'd be better off on your own...it was hard work but the instant feeling of relief when he left was amazing......I've never regretted it.
Luc - Best to ween on something basic and plain like baby rice at first as it's the whole concept of food that you're getting them used to - so bland and boring just to practice the spoon in mouth thing....then progress to your pureed veg...steer clear of the sweet stuff until he's eating well or he'll most likely favour it over the savoury. Mine were both weened at 12 weeks, strange that they change the ideals on this over the years.."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Guidelines are guidelines, I honestly think baby will tell you when it's time to wean. Lily had her first spoon of baby rice at 14 weeks and was on proper puree food 3 times a day by 20 weeks. Now at 7 months she's having finger foods, bits of fruit and veg, crusty bread (which is great for teething) and the odd bit of toast for her to chew on.:A
