Sos! - I couldn't book the flight as I was not sure if could book the flight so missed the last flight of 4, from London that raised from £334 to £450! Any hope for a new sale or just buy it now?

If I knew that I could make a fortune. Best guess hang fire through the next 4-5 weeks but be ready to book - just a guess probably wrong, it's not my fault, I accept no blame , it wasn't me, I was asleep at the time I HAVE NO INSIDE INFORMATION, I'm usually wrong, I know that because my wife keeps telling me.0 -
No responsabilities, Bob!
But no commission if you're right!:D
The thing is that the date is the 18th December, very busy day!0 -
BTW, I booked after midnight in Malaysia, but I had the Promo anyway. I wonder the term date of 28th june which local time is referred to
So you hadn't REALLY booked it then!
To be honest, if you can, I'd change my dates by one day (go out on 17th) as that is still showing at £290 one-way.
Otherwise, expect the prices to remain high as it's really peak season (you could try proceeding with the booking as far as the "choose a seat" page, it'll show you just how busy the flight currently is).0 -
I just had a look at the seats for 18th Dec - it's looking very full already and that's only an indication of the number of people who chose to pay for seating, there's bound to be some people that didn't add the seating option.
It's up to you, but I think you've missed the boat on this flight.0 -
You are right guys, but I was unsure I could leave on the 18th and had to ask permission!
I had bought 3 legs out of 4!
the story has a happy ending because I will leave on the 17th so bought the tickets for £290!
I will arrive to KL on the 18th so I will stay there 2 days, hope not to get bored as I wanted to stay just one day originally (Had booked already flight on 20th) but I will find something to snap!
any suggestion, or just walk in the mall as said?
"The area around the Petronas Towers could be anywhere in the world - all shopping malls and Starbucks. Chinatown is interesting during the day but my favourite area is around Bukit Bintang which at night becomes a huge street market and entertainment area - some of the best food I have had anywhere has been on street stalls there costing next to nothing."
Shall I book the tunehotel? £10 is quite cheap and one hour from the airport looks fair0 -

That quote was mine.
To be honest, I would look at what hotels are available in central KL. You can usually get 5* hotels for around £50 a night. Why not treat yourself to a little bit of luxury for the price of a grotty B&B here? I stopped at the Imperial Hotel with views of the Petronas Towers (http://www.kl-hotels.com/imperial-sheraton/location.htm), with the biggest and best room I have had in my life and next to the monorail station for £40-something a night. There are many hotels in the KLCC area which are similar.
In SE Asia, you can either go for the budget option and get perfectly adequate accomondation for £10-20/night (depending on if you want Air Con or not - trust me, you do) or stop in some of the best hotels in world for not that much more.0 -
There's the TUNE airport hotel which is a couple of minutes away, at £12.50. Totally pointless paying extra to stay in a four or five star hotel when you'll be checking in at 10pm.
You'll either want to get your head down or have a quick shower and be out again.
The Tune Hotel should be fine. Airport one is new and clean with a ceiling fan.
Haven't tried the downtown hotel, but I think it's been there a while. Probably been renovated since then. Less than a tenner for a single room.
Unless you are going to use the facilities of a higher star hotel, i.e. Pool, gym etc it's a waste of cash.0 -
I had an absolute mare trying to get back to HK from Macau before. We had a flight from HK to Taipei in the evening and decided to go over to Macau for the day. Had no problem on the way out but once we got back to the ferry terminal at 4pm it was pandemonium! There were thousands of people milling around and they were all saying there were no boats until 8pm! We seriously thought we were going to have to pay for the helicopter back to HK but managed to find a ferry with a few "business" class seats left and paid the £2 extra for them.
Helicopter would have been fun though.0
