Oh the memories, in my days, we used to go armed with a ladder, clear the fence then exit to receive a wristband for re-entry, enabling us to get our tents and enjoy a free weekend of it at Glastonbury.

Of course this was a few years ago, I think I'm too old to be clambering through fields and climbing security fences nowadays, it also seems more like Fort Knox too. Happy memories of the place, but now I choose to watch it on the telly and get a much better view of the stage's, nice and comfy on my sofa and at a fraction of the cost ;)

I got back from Glastonbury today and it was absolutely superb. Not very MSE though at £2 for a cup of tea and £4 for a slice of pizza but absolutely superb!

Franz Ferdinand & Blue being the pick for me :)

Glasto = too many flags, too many yuppies these days, the song "common people" springs to mind, ticket prices are outrageous as well.

to the OP - no one spends £600 at a festival unless your one of the above.

Riq - unless Glasto has really changed, I'll assume you meant Blur!

Son and gf came back yesterday, they loved it and done it on the cheap ;) But they did see Hobnobs at £2 and a pack of paracetemol (usually around 16p) being sold for £4

The most I've spent there is £200 and I was there for a whole week with work!!

How the hell you got £600 from I don't know?!

You bought the tickets with attached T&C's - you decided not to go so tough sh*t. That's life I'm afraid.

You'll just have to go through life not buying a gig ticket ever again, as something might happen so you can't go?!?!

I know, thankfully they didn't pay anything like that for anything.............I'd have fainted and then whacked them one :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Guess it's a captive audience so to speak and when people have a hangover in the morning or munchies late at night they're going to fork out whatever I spose

OP, how much would the insurance you decided you didn't want/need have cost you?
