I am finding the buttons very helpful. I've used the expired button a couple of times when I've come across expired comps - I would probably have ignored them before - haven't checked if they've now gone though. A duplicate button would be handy for the same reason.
Spam button is good too - thank goodness its UnSpam as well.

Re screen shot above - the buttons are at the top as well

Love the buttons. Would love a 'Thanks' icon shown on the main page though so you can see whether or not you've entered without clicking on the thread itself - save a bit of time.

quick question, what happens when the expired button is pressed.. does it move the comp to gameover or does it disappear?

I agree mattlyn73 the thanks button icon on the main page would save us compers a considerable amount of time especially if you try to enter as many comps as possible like me!

I think that it would also stop mse'rs from entering a comp twice when the post has been bumped

but for me the best thing would be not clicking on multiple links only to find that I have already entered the comp,

when you do this severeal hundred times a day it wastes quite a bit lot of time and as compers know every minute of comping time is extemeley precious

wouldn't it also be great if after you have entered a competition you clicked on the thanks button and it returned you back to the main comping page

by implementing the above it would encourage people to use the thanks button more

I agree with your sentiments on a visible Thanks icon on the forum thread page.

However I'm not sure everyone would like the "back to forum page if you hit Thanks" idea. There are so many different ways of sorting in the thread view that MSE can't predict where to send you. Personally I just use my secondary mouse left button to move back - like pressing back in the browser.

Also, sometimes I want to thank several posters in a thread and it would be a bother to keep going back into the post to do it.

All good stuff this however - working together we'll make this place even better. :cool:
