Lost my JSA

Hardship payments are not automatically granted. IE, not everyone is entitled to them. Those who aren't, afaik, get nothing. I'm not aware of any safety net below that.
And as for Winston Churchill, if he were alive to day he'd be on incapacity benefit for mental illness and getting pilloried by the right wingers for being lazy.
yer the OP will get it. we cant leave people without money for more than 4 weeks. Ive processed 100's of JSA10's. He/she will get it after 14 days of filling in form or from day 1 if he/she has a young child............0 -
Isn't it nice to judge people's actions without their experience from afar. Isn't it easy to tell people what they should have done.
What a sad judgemental message board this is.
So this guy deserves to be treated worse than a criminal then? He should starve to death in the gutter then?
!!!!!! there's worse crimes than quitting a job. Is the economy so important that people should make themselves miserable and unhappy in menial jobs then?
What's any of this got to do with daily mail stereotypes of the unemployed or the working class?
Pathetic.
Awww thanks..
Whilst you think he will starve etc, just so you know, he will get money, he will get a reduced rate of money, not much but enough to get own brand baked beans and cheap bread. (the fact that op didn't say about this to go for the sympathy vote)
Soooo missy, get over your paddy, check your facts before calling me /other posters pathetic, it's posters like you getting insulting with the name calling that gives this forum a bad name.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -

'missy'? grow up, there's a love.
I think anyone without an income will starve, unless you advocate theft. As i said before, there is no guarantee anyone is entitled to hardship payments. even they are conditional, and if not you still have to wait long enough for the whole thing to be processed and payment issued. what is going to happen in the meantime?
i find your attitude laughable and cavalier.0 -
Haha Intersting comments.... I wasn't expecting the response, it was more of a rant to be honest.
And yes it was stupid and naive of me, i'm still here though, live and learn
I realise it makes a few people angry, but to be fair it was making me MISERABLE, so I wasn't going to stick around.... My reasons for claiming JSA were mainly to get the support that comes with it in getting a job.
Anyhow, I'm getting a bar job in town now0 -

Please, answer the question. If you can.0 -
I have to say i agree the jc have some funny rules another one is the £5 you are allowed to earn while on JSa. It hasnt changed apparantely for years. It should have risen in line with everything else and wants challenging.
If you committed a crime you wouldnt starve you wouldnt be allowed too so whats the difference really?
It costs much less to keep people on jsa than in prison too.:footie:0 -
so i ask again: what should happen now? What is to become of the OP? This person made a bad decision, let's agree for argument's sake (I odn't know the facts so it's impossible to accurate judge in anything other than a cheap way), so they are then stuffed for life? Is that how society treats people who make bad decisions. Obviously it isn't, as the likes of Tony Blair are making millions from some of the most appalling decisions in history. Yet someone quits a job and their life is screwed because they aren't entitled to support themselves (unless they are lucky enough to promptly receive hardship allowance, which is by no means guaranteed).
Please, answer the question. If you can.
salvation army give out food packs, there is no need to starve, but he's ok now he's got a bar job. at least until he gets paid he can eat the peanuts in the dishes on the bar :rotfl:Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
And the lesson is........ Stick up for yourself! you'd have been better off getting yourself fired.
Do not fear for your job, do not let bully's win!
I've been there and brought the t-shirt, workplace bully's are normally supervisors or middle management with delusions of grandeur. Picking on other more intelligent individuals is their way of hiding their own incompetence.
Im not sure what you can do now on the money front, perhaps you could arrange for someone to employ you short term and make you redundant?
You'd at least get your JSA again.
Alternatively you could get a girlfriend and have 7 kids, or apply for Polish citizenship and change religions to the second largest in the world.
Sorry for the sarcasm, I just get really wound up with the way this country treats it's own people and you are a living example of that poor treatment!!!!!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
