So exactly how many clouds were there in Manchester, and exactly what time did it start spitting?
Theres 100% cloud cover currently in Manchester (at 0:00 6/7/8) and it started raining around 23:30 pm on the 5/8/7;) (slightly on the heavy side as well if you live in the west of the city). That died off an hour or so later.0 -
Last week there was one day where I looked at the weather forecast and it was forecasting sunshine for the next day, so I decided to water the garden. Next morning it was raining, and continued to do so up until lunchtime!
I demand compensation for the wasted water!!

No forecasters made such a claim about the temperature. quote]
Well sorry to tell you, but yes they did!!! And I'm NOT the only one the heard these so called 'experts' say it.
Not sure what you are trying to prove with all your figures there. I'm no lia, I commented on the OP as to what 'I heard' some time ago.
Enough said. Please do not feed the Trolls!0 -

No Met Office/BBC forecaster made that claim!!!!!!!!!!
It was obviously some other expert but one that isn't a weather forecaster.
If your so sure, find a link.
I saw claims like that on the news/in the papers but they were not made by forecasters if you listen to every word or properly read the print. You'll often see expert (this could mean anything). I have been interested in weather all my life and am a member of Torro (a uk weather organisation). No UK professional organisation made any claim.
I've had many people approach me which these claims after reading such things in the papers and had to explain to them that it was media talk and not true. The two worst papers for so called expert weather predictions are the Daily Express & Daily Star.0 -
think yourself lucky that your livelyhood is not dependent on the weather.
Everyone is going to be moaning in a few months time that there is no decent hay to be had. As the weather has not been kind.
Food prices will go up not just because of the floods but in general as the weather has been so bad. Farmers harvesting by just taking the heads off the wheat. Because it is just to wet to combine properly. So lack of straw.
As my dad says they can't predict frost at the north pole. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im finding the 5 day forecast on the BBC weather site is changing everyday!
What the point of a five day forecast if they can't predict the weather and they are going to change it?0 -

It's called updating! There will always be a degree of error when predicting 5 days ahead although the fundemental elements won't often change much. As you get nearer the day you can give more exact detail. There not much point if you have an update of leaving your old forecast just for the sake of not changing it.0
