    Wow, heated debate here!
I was on here looking to see if its true that I could claim low level DLA due to depression. It seems I can.
And before anyone goes off on one.... I am HIGHLY medicated, got plenty of doctors support and have been in this position for many years. I work part time (am unable to cope with work full time) and my partner has to care for me sometimes when I am too ill to think for myself meaning he uses his holiday time just to look after me.
Those who think depression is just 'lazyness' have no idea what its really like. Yes, there are people out there who claim they are depressed when they are just feeling a little low.... but there are people that REALLY suffer.

I assure you I am not threatening anyone. I am a nice genuine person who had a genuine query and didnt expect to get this kind of response. Think I will leave this site. It just upsets me

Ive recently posted a thread asking for advice due to mental health problems, I also have Asperger's Syndrome.
I encountered the same issues as you are, people saying hurtful comments & making accusations, they actually made me cry on a couple of occasions.
I nearly left the site but why should I let these ignorant people get away with bullying me, there are nice people on her that do genuinely want to help you & they outweigh all the negative spiteful people.
I really hope you don't leave the forum because of them. :hello:
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
