Look down the bottom of this page. ;)

    Aha, thanks for that!

Not achieved a great deal today. Had to wait in for a parcel, so whiled away the time on here rather than chores!

Once my parcel came went to tesco and stocked up on all the things that come off offer today - I've got 16 crate of pepsi max and 16 boxes of felix catfood in the garage!!

Off to vets soon, really should get off here!

Just had a call from DS2's school. There is a case of confirmed swineflu in a Yr 8 child so they've sent Yr 8 and their teachers home. There are parents from other years collecting their kids & a bunch of pupils are doing a protest to be allowed home  I understand that it's a worry but it seems a bit over the top to me  James has just text me to say that school is nearly empty.

It's muggy & clouding over here so I'm keeping an eye on the washing. I have done the birthday cake and the ironing so feeling pleased with myself :rotfl:
  • Just back from GP as once she had spoken to me I had to go down to have my eyes checked out.....they are a bit worried as before my migraines now am getting numbness and pins and needles in left arm and my face again...only for about 10 mins then it goes and headache kicks in....have to be seen by neuro now...they are ringing me tomorrow about it...i need it sorting before school hols start....6 weeks of migraine whilst dealing with Mr Flappy I can most certainly do without:rotfl:
MSD glad it is not just my brocolli that looks like cabbages lol

just about to go and tackle a little of the ironing before it touches the ceiling...I honestly feel like I have no strength but am going to have to force myself.

    Afternoon peeps

lovely and sunny here but it`s also really muggy, i think that we could do with a good old storm to clear the air - wouldn`t do the garden any harm either :D it would save me from traipsing around with the watering can later but the forecast says not.

I really should be having a nap but surprisingly i`m still awake, i was still awake at 3am so i`ve no idea where all this energy has come from  in the early hours i read the quiche thread so guess what i`m baking atm :rotfl:hope they turn out ok as my quiche dishes dissappeared when we moved house, i`ve not made one for years.

I`ve also made 4 pizza bases, 2 to freeze and 2 for tonight and all the veg is chopped ready to top them. The kitchen looks like a bomb site as i seem to have used every pan that i possess, i`ve even made some hm dog food with mince & pearl barley - the houndies lurve it!

Mrbadexample- i loved your start to the thread today, made me smile :D

Happy Birthday to D&DD and also to Fairy Elephant and Sunny Girls DS :bdaycake::bdaycake:hope you all have fab days.

((((HUGS)))) for NPM & Sunny girls Dad

I have two big piles of clothes beside me as the washing dried ages ago, i think i shall see how much of it i can put away without needing to iron it :D DH will be coming home tonight after a couple of days away fishing so i shall have more washing to do, i hope that the weather is nice tomorrow as it`s a doddle to dry atm.

Offski to check on the last quiche and stare at the washing up :D

    See you later peeps.

    SD

PS Ladyshopper - Hope that Puddy is ok, sending purry hugs for him or her
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

I quite agree Sunnygirl! I would suspect that their 'protest' has more to do with the fact that they think the year 8's are getting an extra 'holiday' from school that they are not, than any worry they might have about catching swine flu!!!!!!
DSS#2, 14, has been most miffed that his older sister has had lots of 'time off school' lately, which is actually study-leave for her GCSE's! He hates school and does everything possible to get out of homework etc, so he thinks she's just had extra holiday, when actually she has been working very hard!

    Good afternoon everyone :D

Have barely had time to skim the threads I've been so busy. Aaaah poor me :rotfl:Garden is coming along , veggies are growing well. We're drowning (slight exaggeration there:o) under a sea of mixed salad leaves, and expect spring onions and beetroot very shortly. The hanging basket tomatoes are tiny, like alpine strawberries, but a fantastic flavour and at least DH and me are eating them. This is in contrast to the courgettes which are being eaten by something:mad: I have 5 new babies developing and I almost feel like sitting out there all night with a torch to catch the *@ggers that have nibbled the previous ones away!! Who said gardening is relaxing, lying devils :rotfl:

Happy Birthday to those celebrating

Well done MrBE on achieving an ambition, minor though it might be :T:rotfl:Hope the back gets better for your mammoth drive:eek: Have a good holiday :D (whispers...... was the cake OK? The mixed spice should have gone in with the flour. Dry with dry, wet with wet is a guide when an ingredient isn't mentioned in the method ;))

Must rush, DH wants to go shopping, I'm tagging along to see what they're giving away :D:D

Whaddyamean minor? How many daily threads have you started?

I am currently enjoying the benefits of codeine. :D The drive's not too bad...it's split in two, and I'll be on holiday. ;)

And yes thanks, the cake was fine. You're supposed to put the spice in with the boiling fruit well that's what I did and it was ok, honest! :p
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
