In the absence of any specification on the minutiae of the calculation then I would be happy (well maybe not 'happy', but at least content) with the way Amex do it*. I wouldn't be screaming 'scam' (which it isn't) or even 'rip-off' (too trivial).

*As do at least Alliance and Leicester amongst other companies

Can we please let this thread die a death? It's calculated on whole pounds per transaction. OP is mistaken/mental. Any cashback is a bonus.

I'll personally send OP the various £ 0.01's that they think they're entitled to if they provide me with a copy of their statements, sort code and bank account details. Oh yeah, there'll be a fee they have to pay me to employ a book-keeper to verify the validity of their claim.

Anyhoo, let's not deal with ficticious scenarios and keep the threads to real-life situations. It was an interesting comparison of cashback per transaction versus cashback on statement balance while it lasted, but let's allow it to end at that.
