The cheapest way is to make your own
For mine, I used 3 full sheets of 18mm MDF. I used a router to round the front edges and to sink some oval finger pulls in the front faces. The doors run on sliding door gear (Ares system from Buller Ltd). The weight is taken on the bottom runner so mounting is significantly easier (and more robust) than top hung systems. I finished the doors with matt emulsion to match the walls. Total cost £45 for the MDF and £75 for the door gear.0 -
I had Sharps in three years ago. Fab job, still look good. Work fine. Cost though. 5 wardrobes, 2 bedside cabinets and a dressing table. £5000 think it was worth every penny though.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Thought you might find our experience of spaceslide a noteworthy warning - thought it was something I could fit but on arrival (the first time you see the instructions) it became apparent it was one-step beyond my carpentry abilities. So, I called spaceslide who (after a few days) called me back to say that none of their fitters would head over as far as Epsom to do the install.. Somewhat odd considering that we're 1 hour round the M25 and they have a "Surrey" based commendation on their website! We're now trying to find a joiner in/around Epsom instead, a long way from ideal. Moral of the story - if you might want an install (assuming you, like me, do not have laser vertical/horizontal spirit levels, are not happy to cut into your skirting/cornicing, etc) make sure you line it up BEFORE you buy, as you sure as heck won't get any love from the showroom boys once they have your cash.... Or am I wrong, spaceslide, care to comment?0

Hi cameracandid. I'm actually a competitor of them with Kubbi (not to advertise). I am a web designer and did consultancy work for them in 2014, which I believe was later than the post I made. I hope this clears everything up.0 -
I used to work for Sliderobes, the mark up on the wardrobes is about 50%, they make a silly amount of profit on them, if you want something that feels the same as their doors, find any company that uses a Raumplus system. That's the German company that make the door set up for them. If you look, you will find the same set up but. For at least half the price. I've heard that they are in financial trouble at the moment, can't meet customers orders as their suppliers have stopped their credit, and not being able to pay back any deposits taken. Go with them at your own risk!!!!!!!!!!!0
