You've given me plenty of ideas. I had a pasta dish in Turkey it was basically spaghetti, mushrooms and a creamy sauce that could possibly be substituted by using campbells mushroom soup. There was nothing else that I could see in it. Wish I could make it like that.
Has anyone else had it/ and or knows how to make?0 -
Fry onions, mushrooms, courgettes, sweetcorn, ham and chorizo.
When the pasta is done, drain it then add to the frying pan and the flavour from that will add to the pasta.
The chorizo adds loads of flavour!
I use it with all sorts, chicken and chorizo casserole is lovely
Instead of pasta you could use uncle ben's wok rice, just chuck it in the frying pan with the other stuff a couple of minutes before it's all done, easy and delicious0 -
It's best to use a non-stick saucepan for this one.
Fry chopped onions, mushrooms, red pepper, garlic & chopped bacon in the saucepan until soft. Boil some macaoni in another pan. Drain it and stir it into the other ingredients, and mix in a good handful of grated cheddar cheese, and a dob of tomato purree or tomato ketchup.0 -
Pasta, chorizo, double cream, 2 egg yolks and cheese!
Cook pasta as per instructions.
cut chorizo into little slices and fry till crispy,
drain pasta
whisk eggs and 125 ml (i tihnk - will double check!) of cream
add chrizo to drained pasta, then add the cream mixture and mix it around for a a minute or 2,
serve with cheese.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

I too bought a reduced piece of Brisket from Sainbobs on NYE for just over £2.00.I love it done in my SC overnightsitting on a small bed of chopped leeks/onions, half a cup of water with an oxo cube crumbled into it.switch it on just before I go to bed and its cooked to perfection by the morning and my kitchen smells lovely.Once cold, I usually slice it up for a couple of meals, and the rest I mince up in the food mixer for shepards pie with carrots and mushrooms, and topped with cheesy mashed potato. Last bit of brisket I did this way did me two dinners and five individual s/pies to go in my freezer.7 meals for a couple of quid is a bargain to me0

Hi there, for a lovely pasta dish, more like a pasta bake really, but i grill a few slices of bacon and chop them up finely, then add them to an ovenproof dish, mix in a tin of chopped toms, throw in a small spoon of herbs if ive got any, and sprinkle with cheese, and in the oven for ten mins, its a delish meal.
also can use sliced sausage instead of bacon equally as niceWith love, POSR0 -
Ok,
This week, our menu is Chicken Pie and roast spuds, sausage and mash, Pork Casserole and Chilli Con Carne with rice. So on the other day I want to do something with pasta.
Hubby doesn't eat cheese in huge amounts but will tolerate things like Philadelphia. He also hates tuna.
Brain has frozen though and I can't think of anything other than carbonara.
Suggestions please!0 -
