Have you tried using brown rice instead of pasta. Please Thank Me
Thank You0 -
this is one of my faves
soften onion & garlic ( i use red onion can use spring onion etc)
add cubed pancetta (or use ham / bacon whatever)
then add whatever youve got (i like spinach or leek with mushroom ,the kids like peas / sweetcorn)
then stir in some creme fraiche and some low fat soft cheese to make the "sauce"
stir into / pour on top of pasta ,add some grated cheddar cheese or parmesan (also nice with feta)
serve with warm ciabatta
yummmmeeeeee :P0 -

Never actually tried brown rice before. I been staying away from rice lately because mine seems to turn out a sticky mess anyway - but someone mentioned to me that using a microwavable rice cooker produces really good results so am on the look-out for one of those.0 -
Make sure you rinse the rice first. Drain it and then add 1 and half times water, so one cup rice to one and a half water. I use the steamer to do mine and not had any bad results, still do these measurements for boiling in saucepan, you can add saffron or stock cubes etc to flavour it if you want to.0

Tuna, Mayo & Onion
Cooked, curry mayonaise, onion & little carrot sticks.
Both irressistable. WIsh I could come up with a third variety that would please everyone as much as these.

incredibly simple but tasty.....
roast chicken and then strip off the meat and make into small pieces, add to boiled pasta and then add potato salad....(found that Morrisons potato salad works best!!)0 -
I cook sping onion, garlic and cherry toms in olive oil and just put that over cooked pasta, It's nice with chilli added aswell
Good way to use up "past their best" toms
Ordinary toms are good, but best if skinned0 -
I often buy brisket, I brown it all over add sliced onions and mushrooms, pour over a bottle of guinness and cook slowly in oven.
Eat as hot beef sandwiches or as a sunday roast.
