well have sent off my letter accepting the £9k and pleaded with the solicitor to do it quickly as it has taken almost a year. It would have been a lot sooner but he held onto things months at a time for some reason  I just dont understand it, maybe holding out for more fees. I have told him my dismay in a letter.

Have calculated how much I would shave if I OP'd all or some of it:

    1k - £456 and 2 months
    2k - £903 and 4 months
    3k - £1342 and 6 months
    4k - £1773 and 8 months

9k - £3799 and a whopping 18 months which would bring me 8 months closer to my target ED my end date would be Feb 2020 9 and a half years

It is so tempting to put the whole lot on BUT you can do too much living by the OP means. I think I am going to have £5k for a car, £2k OP and leave £2k for treats and maybe a holiday? (or £3k OP and £1k towards holiday.) It doesnt seem a lot to save/shave for £1k or £2k does it?

Hope it comes in time for xmas. I have pleaded with him to get it sorted asap. I have wait two years since a guy on here emailed me with a free offer to help. I wish I had sorted it myself now, it would have been done last year!!

Pammy, Aldi have http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_15819.htm a special offer car stereo. We have been really impressed with the stereo we got from them a few years ago.

I guess it works in that you use bluetooth to connect the phone to it, like any other bluetooth speaker then when the phone rings the call comes through your car speakers and the stereo stops playing your other music?

No idea how the microphone works for this tho?

Agree it looks great - their quality was good for the other one we bought, no problems using it, I recommend them TBH.

Looks like the car I want might cost £7k so its either that or a cheaper car and holiday too. Undecided.

  • What a lovely dilemna to have - how to spend lots of money. £7k on a car, £1k on a hol, £1k to overpay. I think you would end up feeling guilty if you didn't overpay any. I would. :rotfl:
