Its nice to know I am not alone in feeling carp like that and being left out of the loop. I did make a couple of close friends from mums and tots and we kept in touch for a while but then our kids went to different school (all four in our group) and it slowly drifted us all apart. We still chat occasionally and even the birthday presents and xmas has now stopped. Thats when you know its come to an end lol (saves me money tho lol) The only proper friend I have is a very popular person and is always busy. I know her from the kids old school that DS left on Friday so I wont even see her through the week now so no gossips etc lol. That will probably drift out as well

I agree about looking back and being able to see how far we have come and all the hard times as well as the good times.

I've never really managed to click with any clique at school - I've always been out of it for one reason or another. My DD was the only one in her reception class not to have attended the 'feeder' preschool - because I was working 30 miles away, 8 hour days and needed a nursery. I knew no-one (neither did she) and they'd all bonded years before. She quickly made friends, I'm glad to say. Now I have her (12) and DS(10) like the majority of them - but then went on to have 2 more DSs (4 & 1) - so they've all gone back to work and I'm at home. And the parents of the ones in DS2's class in reception in September are all MUCH younger than me (try mid 20s - I'm 40)

It's hard, but hang in there and we're always around for you to moan at if you need to! :D

I feel like that with there new school, all the parents know each other from the infants school and we have come in at junior level from another school. I am really going to try and make conversation with people next term and not try and stand in the corner!

Thanks guys, it almost went unnoticed by peeps ;)

Well after a few discussions with people and looking on my friend google, we are now getting a pair of guinea pigs rather than hamsters as they seem the better pet for a young girl. and apparently they are very social and so need to live in pairs. I am now looking for a pair of sisters. (the best option) I have been looking for rescue centres as they seem to breed rather a lot and so see that there will be a lot of excess piggies.
The kids have already chosen names - Sparkle and Dandelion! I love it. We went to the library today and got some books out which DD has been eagerly reading.
Also looking at the prices of hutches  Have requested on freegle to no avail and looking on ebay for some local.
Its all money though isnt it :(

Won on BP so was able to redeem another amazon voucher (first in about a month I think)
No other news at the moment I dont think :)

Aww, I love guineas - especially their little squeaky grunts!

They might be for your DD, but I bet you'll get at least as much pleasure from them.

Well done for hanging on in there, it'll all come right in the end.

    Take care,

DD had her ears pierced today. another £11 unplanned expense.

Got a £5 NV today which only took me 15 minutes to do, so am at £23 there at mo. 30p from onepoll, at £21.10

Am 9k off my dooyoo cheque, might try and do a couple of reviews but cant be bothered with it anymore really.

Next month have decided that I am going to do a few more things on ebay. I currently do some signs but might start doing my car signs again. They are time consuming though when people dont give you the info you need.

Also once dooyoo is done I am definitely gonna use my time on comps instead.

Hiya Pammy, what signs do you do? One poll takes forever to get £40, I'm on about £14 now I'll probably be MF by the time I get there! but every little helps!! Good luck with the guinea pigs, I bet your left to clean them out after the first couple of months! Thats what used to happen to my sisters hamsters, she'd beg and beg for one, give it loads of attention for about a month then she'd get bored & my poor old mum used to have to look after them!

Thats exactly what happened with us. DD pleaded for years to get a pet. We eventually adopted 2 rabbits and within a couple of months DH was left to clean them out. Good luck with the Guineas Pammy.
