I have really been thinking about moving back home, have even looked at the schools etc. There are a few things that are putting me off

    * the hassle of selling my house
    * the hassle of moving
    * the cost of selling and buying - no savings now bought the car
    * getting a new job over there would be really tough so I might not be able to get a new mortgage anyway
    * leaving what I know here and the safety of a settled job
    * putting my mortgage back up possibly 6 years
    * moving the kids schools again
    * moving the kids an hour away from their dad (not that he would care)
    * dont know the area (would move near where my sister has moved to)
    * supermarkets are not nearby as village location

But apart from that are there any drawbacks :rotfl:.

Do investigate further about jobs & so on, the more info to help you make a decision the better :T

Hi pammy, if the kids are for it then I say look into it properly, I'm sure you will make the right descision and I think as long as you look into every pitfall you can't go wrong. You have been fed up about the lack if support nearby, I say go with your gut feeling. Is it somewhere you would want to stay forever? If so then 6 extra years I think is worth it.

  • OOh Pammy, thats exciting thinking. Getting back towards the family may not be a bad thing. At least that way you will have some more support around. As the others have said, have a proper look into it before you write off the idea completely.

One of the houses I have looked at online has a railway behind the houses over the road. I think I will go and have a look when I am over there in a couple of weeks.

I had a sicky today, had a really bad night o f stomach cramps. I was doubling over in pain most of the night, alongside being full of cold and have sweats and shivering. I took the kids to school and went back to bed at 9.30 and slept right through til 2.30

feel a bit better now but still full of cold. cant really afford another day off but at least this month is is 5 pay weeks :)

oooohhh, a house move! Seems like there are a lot of ppl on here looking to move. Being close to your family should be good for you - and if the kids are happy, nothing to stop you exploring the option!

Will it mean you are closer to DS1?

Hope you are feeling better soon - and don't rush back to work tomorrow if you are not ready, you'll only being ill for longer

I am still here lol, still suffering :( Thanks for asking :)

I havent posted for a while as I havent decided what I am going to do yet. I think deep down I know I am going to stay here but I havent OP'd anything lately and put money in my savings instead.

I am going back home on Tuesday and hopefully will be able to have a couple of viewings of houses I am looking at, I am sure that will definitely make my mind up about it.

I havent done any surveys for weeks or even been on BP which I used to do religiously every day!

I have been doing the tesco DTD shopping which is a buzz again and brings me back to the days of when we used to use coupons against everything, those were the good days lol

I went to the hospital for my pre op assessment. The nurse sent me for blood tests as I can be anaemic and then rang me in the afternoon to say I am slightly below to be able to have a general but would I be happy to get myself some iron supplements. OF COURSE. I dont want anything to scupper getting this blooming tooth out. Yesterday I spent all afternoon at a friends house suffering and wishing I was at home instead. My mate didnt know what to do lol. I then didnt manage to get to sleep until 3am :(

Cant wait to get back to being me again :o
