The words 'village show' and 'dressed walking stick' can still trigger near-fatal flashbacks.:rotfl::rotfl:at least the St George's Day Parade is only once a year!

Morning all!
Gosh you lot can talk a lot! There were 4 pages since yesterday morning when I last posted. Lots of work has gone on though, so big congratulations to everyone who has got more stars - particularly all of the new flyers.
As I'm having a BBQ next Saturday for my birthday, OH and I are having a go at cleaning up the garden a bit today whilst the weather is still ok. Can't cut the lawns yet, as I'll need to pick the daisies etc on Wednesday for the children to draw in my lesson observation, and they'd be a tad shrivelled if I pick them now.
I will write the official lesson plan etc tonight whilst OH is out at his gun club.
Must stick a few washloads on today as the mountain is getting bigger again.
Happy flying everyone!

Morning all
Just reading back through the thread and realise I really am very strict.
Beds - kids strip their own when asked to and the bigger ones are expected to remake, DS1 totally, DS2 bed is tricky for the sheet but does the other bits, DS3 to put toys/blankets back on.
Dishes - they use them they go in the DW, all 3 of them, if I go in the kitchen and they are left on the table they get called to the kitchen and they know why and just do it.
Bedrooms - I clean but they do all the tidying first
Clothes big ones put in wash and younger one learning to.
Laundry big ones put there's away, little one helps distribute to rooms
DS2 cleans inside of windows for pocket money
DS1 cuts lawns for pocket money
DS3 helps running about fetching and carrying bins, putting rubbish out, feeding cats etc.
I don't feel too mean. I do loads for them re sporting activities, homework help, etc and most importantly one day they will be somebody's husband! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
