Morning everyone. A bit of a dull start here this morning. Its supposed to get out though. Plans for today are to nip down to MrAs, go see mum and walk back via country park. Later Im going to do the kitchen as I have a busy week. All this talk of Alnwick and I want to go now. I usually go up a lot in the summer and stay with a friend there. I havent seen the Poison Garden yet and part of the castle grounds is called Hulne Park and I want to walk through there. I have another week off work which is my birthday week so might go then. I could just imagine a flylady meet there.
greenbee Well done on the walk. Hope your feet and legs recover soon.
Mudbath Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Soappie Northumberland is a beautiful county. It has everything gorgeous countryside, a beautiful coastline and lots of castles. Plus lots of hidden places. The fishing village wouldnt be Craster would it. You will have to let me know if you are ever in the area.
lil_me Let me know when you are up this way. Ive stayed at Holy Island a few times. Just make sure you check the causeway times.
Kazmeister Well done! What a difference.

I think I'm probably just about ready to wake up properly now... so I'm off to find some breakfast and work out how much I can get done today! It was sunny first thing, but has clouded over and cooled down now.
Valli - can you not explain to your son that he doesn't have to have a girlfriend, and that if he can't make up his mind between the three then he should probably stay single? I mean, what happens if he misses the love of his live because he's going out with someone else just so he can have a girlfriend? I'm also a bit concerned about the 18 year old who would be prepared to go out with a 15 year old - at that age it's quite a big age gap - shouldn't the 18 year old be looking for unsuitable older men to get her parents worried about
See you all later!0 -
Thankyou - I did
:D:D Thought you might Soappie - l loved it! Glad to hear plan B going well - maybe you have been a secret writer all this time and now it's bursting out of you... well done!
Well, I have photographed all 21 items, had breakfast, got myself washed and dressed (didn't get dressed until 6pm yesterday, and then only because I had to go out - VERY lazy day) made my bed after airing it off (ANOTHER sweaty night - I hate that!) and put another wash on and hung out the first lot.
I HAVE ENERGY!!!!!!! don't know where it's come from, but so glad it's here - I am so fed up with feeling lethargic and bleugh for absolutly no reason.
Mind you, we now have a Wii Fit and it's BRILLIANT! I absolutly love it and have been doing it nearly every day - this is the most excercise I have EVER done - I have joined gyms, tried videos, etc, but this actually nags me into doing it and it's great fun - love the hula hoops and boxing and still can't manage the steps without falling over my own feet, but I have noticed that I stand straighter now thanks to the small amount of yoga I do first - Am really pleased I brought it (makes a change for me, usually buy something that I really NEED, do it for about 1 week then put it away for 8 years before selling on...) Maybe it's finally started to kick in and this is why I have energy... here's hoping...

Good morning all
Well arrived back last night after driving back through a huge thunder storm - or may be several all joined together. From Amersham (Bucks) round the M25 and right up to the other side of Stevenage. I have never seen lightening like this - looked like the storms you see on the tv in tornado alley in America. Had cloud burst rain and lightening forks all the way.
Now having decluttered Mum's with 6 trips to the dump and 1 car full to the charity shop I am ready to start again on mine.
Plan for today is catch up on the washing as DS (18) as done nothing whilst I have been away.
- Washing
- clear front path so postman can get up to the front door (wild plants)
- ebay - masses to sell
- get ready for work tomorrow
- get DD to find library books - so overdue it is not funny - letters received from Library.
- strip and remake all the beds - wash bedding and pillows.
- food shop - just a small one or the DS and DD will eat it all when I am at work
- write letter to GP for Mum - need medical support to go up the housing list - she cannot manage stairs now and needs flat/bungalow
- AA form for Mum
- Clear up kitchen - will do this in HHC bursts
Have informed two teenagers that as I work full time and they are at home fulltime as have finindhed school for the summer they can do this flying list between them each day - a good plan I hope!
And finally - does anyone know what to do with horse fly bites - I have been bitten on my toe which is now twice its normal size and bright red - itchy - sooooo much and weeping fluid - gross I know!
Right off to declutter a cup of tea and put washing up away while the kettle boils - then put 1st load washing in
then ebay 2 items before I come back here.
