Mail done and 2 cards & 1 store card paid off. I've got butterflies as I'm not used to doing this (paying things off, that is).

I believe I hear ironing calling so off I go once more.

OK - another wee day off work. Painkillers are making me dozy and I can only open me gob far enough to pour coffee in it...

    So today I will

Pay off another 2 storecards & 2 credit cards :j - I want this done before I fritter away the money

    Clean house
Iron what I washed yesterday .

That's all I'm aiming for today as I need to see how well the painkillers work - but if I get that done I might take some piccies for ebay as I can't go out. Not only is it chucking it down, but I'm one of these people who believes that if you're off sick from work you shouldn't be out and about (unless to collect more drugs). Sad I know, but it's the way I was brought up.

    Have a good one folks

  • Hi CM,

Hope the 'toothache' isn't too bad today. (I say toothache as I don't know what else to call it once the tooths gone? ) I had all my wisdom teeth out at the same time a few years ago - it wasn't too bad looking back other than feeling really swollen and not being able to eat much. I was actually signed off work for 2weeks and like you don't venture out if I'm off ill.
Anywho's good luck with ebay - I know it is daunting when you first start off but you soon get into a rhythm with it. I'm not an expert by any means but if you've got any questions give me a shout and I'll see if I can help.
Huge CONGRATULATIONS :T on paying off some full balances.

    Thanks folks,

Paying the stuff off is a good feeling. And as Mum's house has sold and completion is due on 9th October then hopefully by the end of the year I'll be able to pay all the debt off.

New start & all that malarky....

    Good morning people,

It's a lovely day & I'm off again - still swollen & sore. But I found 2 eggies in the hen run today -:j:j - they must have heard us talking about roast chicken yesterday & decided to get their botties into gear. It's really good for me as I'm still supposed to be on softish foods like scrambled eggs but I refused to buy eggs as I had chooks.

Anybody any interesting plans for today?

    Morning all

Had a wonderfully productive day yesterday so will start with a retrospective list of what I did

Went to work even though was still sore from being toothless - I am involved in a one off month long project & wanted to get my head around all the figures & ins & outs before a new week started as there will be chaos next week methinks - lots of announcements & high heid yins up to visit as job cuts may be on the cards  (but I think I'm safe).
Cleaned out chookies as a reward for now laying eggs
All washing in washing basket done & air drying
Ironed the stuff in ironing basket (I hate ironing but now it's up to date I'm trying to keep on top of it)
Moved acquired tables into greenhouse - recycling at its best
Got my filing UTD - another pet hate
Went through the files of bills that I have paid off in the last week AND SHREDDED ALL BUT THE LAST STATEMENT :j ready to move these to the "Cleared, receipts & nasties" file when the nil balance statement comes through.
Put oil in my car to stop the pretty red light coming on (again)

And then I had alcohol

    So today I will

    Menu plan for week
Do basic shop for said menu plan
    [STRIKE]
Wash bedding (once ClootiesDad rises from his pit)
[/STRIKE]Clean and tidy bathrooms & bedrooms
Investigate & register for DooYoo (I hear so many stories about this, I must get involved)
    [STRIKE]
Go to Mum's and remove more stuff
[/STRIKE]Make up advert for big fridge in garage & put in local newspaper & shop
    [STRIKE]
Spend at least an hour strying to work out how to start tidying garage
Finish moving acquired gardening stuff to greenhouse
    [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Get ink for printer[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]
Buy a new mouse for laptop as the one I have is REALLY temperamental - must be a break in the wiring at the moulded connection
    [/STRIKE]
It's all these little pottering things that get me agitated if they're not done so today I will petter away and have them done by wine o'clock time tonight.

Off for coffee now to assist in girding loins....

    Have a good one folks

  • Because it's such a beautiful day I'm going to leave menu plan/cleaning/adverts till tomorrow and spend the day pottering between garage & greenhouse.
Mum was a keen gardener & I've inherited all the tools & pots & compost & chemicals &&&&&&. Some of the tools were Grandad's so I really want to use them - but at the moment, more importantly, be able to find them when I need to.

So back to the garage I go

  • Ooohhh - next door has just given me a big bunch of grapes from their vine as a thank you for the eggs I gave them this morning.

They're really juicy & have seeds so I get entertainment too - sitting on the back step eating grapes & then [STRIKE]spitting[/STRIKE] firing seeds at the dogs.....

    I'm SO uncouth....

  • Morning all

Lady hens have given me 3 eggs this morning & I'm having a coffee then off to empty car full of cruddy garage stuff at local coup

Aunt is coming over today so instead of tidying bedrooms & bathrooms I'll go & empty more stuff from Mum's house - it really has to be done - I'll aim for the dining room today methinks.

No sun today so far, but you never know - that might change...

    Speak to you later folks
