I am imagining your home and life as being super-organised with all this crossing tasks off lists! Glad to read there was a little alcohol involved, you definitely deserve it. :beer:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I am imagining your home and life as being super-organised with all this crossing tasks off lists!
I wish......
These days I seem to have no concentration so I have to write everything down to make sure anyhting gets done and on that note
Today's tasks need to be done
Non MSE
Tidy house
Clean house
Washing (basket is full - again)
MSE
Make up meal plan for week & shop for as little as possible.
Pay any outstanding bills
Start to investigate dual fuel switch & BT switch as contracts are up this month
After another coffee though....
Have a good day folksDebts 07/12/2021

OK, it took me a couple of days but I've managed Saturday's list....
but in my defence, I've also done all the ironing too
And I'm preparing for tomorrow before I sit down with a good book
MSE
Organise phone contract renewal - I've been investigating & for us living in the wilds, BT still seems to be the best bet
HM lunch/pigsback & other stuff like that
Have a NSD
Non MSE
Need to go to coup with 2 massive cardboard boxes that the free suitcases came in - really cool cases, by the way - I'm really chuffed with them
Clean out chickens
Phone and see if I can get an auctioneer to come to Mum's to lift furniture.
And from talking in the work today, I realise that MSE is more deep rooted than I thought. I have my hair cut fairly short every few months- I'm blessed with hair that looks ordinary & slightly unkempt no matter how much time & effort is lavished on it - and then dry it on the way in to work using the car hot air blower.....It works for me
Anyway - must go read now (simple pleasures & all that)Debts 07/12/2021

I never ever blow dry my hair, just wash and tie it up in a ponytail when wet until it dries naturally. Mines probably like yours, slightly wavy - will go straight if ironed or curly if scrunched BUT it doesn't stay like that for long. Had some gorgeous long layers put in a few years ago, by the time I'd walked to work on the other side of town I had Farrah Fawcett flicks at the sides. :rolleyes:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Well folks - best laid plans of mice & men & all that stuff....
DH has had a bad week and as I'm being a good wife & supporting him this kind of rubs off on me too.
Bearing in mind he's a manager for a supermarket ......
On Monday a customer died on him. 20 mins of CPR and then the ambulance & they still couldn't help the poor guy. And he was only late 40s. It's bad enough in itself but when DH found his own mother just 14 months ago & was with me when I found Mum in Feb, it just brings everything right back. But he tried his best & that's all anyone can ask - although he's still awaiting a police interview as regards this (sudden death & all that stuff)
And then yesterday I get a call at work from him to say he has a sore face after a run in with one of his drivers. Sped home (sorry Mr Policemen) to find out he had indeed been assaulted by said driver. Driver walked into a room where they were all having lunch & punched him. Lots of witnesses & for 1 punch it's done some damage. There's so much swelling he looks like John Merrick & the black/blue effect from jawline to eye is somewhat disconcerting.
The Evil Pigeon must have diarrhoea these days from the amount of s^%t raining down on us.
Anyway - must go tidy house for visit from DH's looky looky brother that will no doubt occur this afternoon.
Have a good day folksDebts 07/12/2021

That is a bad week - poor ClootiesDad!
They obviously did their best for this customer, I work in healthcare and have done my Emergency Aid and they said the key thing to survival is startting CPR quickly. I assume the driver is getting sacked? What a bizarre thing to do!

Thanks FireFox
CPR was started right away as the poor guy was still breathing when DH was called to him. When he arrested DH was right there & luckily a nurse was in shopping with her family & was passing so between them they acted immediately.
As for driver - I hope so but they have to go through procedures these days. Anyhow DH is in A&E at present getting checked out. I couldn't persuade him to go yesterday but another manager has insisted he go from work today (yes, he went to work) to ensure everyting is documented.
And - I know my recent history reads like I've got a bit of a Walter Mitty syndrome - but I can assure you - these things have happened to us.
Anyway - off to clean out chooks as a thank you for lots of eggs. They'll come in handy for a few days as I reckon ClootiesDad will be on soft food for a few days......Debts 07/12/2021

Just had update from DH.
His jaw has been pushed out of alignment because of the swelling & bruising is to get worse and will move down to his neck & probably his shoulder .
It was only one punch, but boy did that guy get his money's worth..........
But DH has been lucky - nothing was broken and there were plenty of witnesses.Debts 07/12/2021

Bad luck seems to happen all at once: sometimes these things have a way of working out for the best but other times it just feels like a kick when you are down.
I am sure procedures will be followed with the driver, but it sounds like gross misconduct to me!What a foolish thing to do, jobs are not so easy to come by in a recession. Do photograph (dated) the bruising ASAP if the hospital haven't already and then again as it gets worse.
Glad to hear you are getting plenty of fresh eggs, they are a great food for invalids and the protein will help the repair process get underway!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
