Hi all,
I received a letter this morning from B&Q customer services in Eastleigh. It states:
Thank you for your letter dated 6 July 2009, I apologise for the disappointment that this error has caused. However, our position still remains the same and we are unable to fulfil the order.
The items were incorrectly labelled as "direct from supplier" and the clearance stocks we had available have now been exhausted.
Yours sincerely,
I called the person named in the letter and checked that this was a response to my letter before action and he told me that is was. I asked if there was any likelihood that there would be a further response from B&Q within the 14 days and he said that there wouldn't be.
Should I still wait the 14 days or should I launch the legal part of the claims process now?0 -
start it now. a group of claims bunched together will result in either
a) a travelling roadshow of legal teams up and down the country
b) out of court settlements because "the dates clash darling"
and B&Q if you feel you can reproduce these comments in court, bear in mind what is said after the contract is formed has no relevance to the issues I am suing for. I am sure the same judge at the same court will have the same view.0 -
Just to reiterate - once you have received a reply to your LBA, unless it states you will be contacted further on this matter, proceed to moneyclaim stage0

Well, that's this evening's activity sorted.0 -
just cut and past off my site, rememebr to delete the lines in between (they will appear too spaced out when you cut and paste them). I got to payment stage in around 2.45mins. I reckon that you could do it in the advert break for Big brother.0

looks like B&Q are on the old loss of bargain site. I was feeling a bit put out on Friday when there wasnt a visit from them.
it goes like this.
Midmorning visit from Bond Pearce
a few hours later (no doubt after a tele call) a visit from Kingfisher
then a little later another call and another visit from BP.
still not had a reply to my LBA yet.0 -

I wonder which one of us is being singled out for special treatment?
Anyone else had a reply to their LBA yet?0 -
