and I have several emails from that person verifying otherwise. Lynsey has cc me in on emails asking for the water butts to be sourced by B&Q elsewhere - again you don't know the full facts and you are spouting sh ite again.

The member in question hasn't yet "trawled" all of my posts...........yet.

The right to freedom of speech is recognized as a human right under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). The ICCPR recognizes the right to freedom of speech as "the right to hold opinions without interference. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression".[1][2] Furthermore freedom of speech is recognized in European, inter-American and African regional human rights law

So, please don't bully me, and try to avoid using words where you have to block letters out, or rearrange them because they are against MSE policy.

Well this is just weird.
  • Just had a call (on a Saturday!) From Consumer Direct (whom I got to when I tried to contact Trading Standards.)

Three interesting (to me) things :

    1) They are certain that it isn't a legal requirement for ascent to terms and conditions to be part of an on-line purchase. They reckon as long as the terms and conditions are on the web site, that's good enough.

    2) They are refering the part of the letter that refers to being unable to accept the order to Gloucestershire Trading Standards.

    3) They are also refering the part of the email I received that states they will rely on the discretion clause in their terms and conditions to Gloucestershire Trading Standards.

I'm told that Trading Standards will contact me within five days if they require more information.

Thanks again, I was also contacted (yesterday) by my local T/S, and my info has been passed on to the T/S who are dealing with the B&Q case.
Also had an email back from Hampshire T/S Service acknowledging receipt.

On point 1) - it may not be a legal requirement, but would be good practice.

Why would someone not include it??
    To mislead customers??
    Just a thought.

No, you claiming to be something that you are not amuses me greatly.

Did you ever sell that domain name that you insisted you were going to get £5000 for? I already know the answer to that one ... no! :rotfl:

Oh... My... God... the troll's waving her human rights flag in the air now. This is pure comedy gold.

Do some further reading beyond the first para of your Wikipedia aricle and you'll find it's not an absolute right. And it certainly doesn't apply to privately owned web forums - you stick to the rules the site owner has laid down. If you don't agree with those rules, go and walk round in the street with a megaphone or something. :rotfl:
