Tara - hope all is going well, and you have your baby soon.

Kindof - Welcome and congrats. Just try to distract yourself with something nice, as it will probably feel like forever until your scan! No point in worrying though.

Skinty - Sorry about your nappies etc. I have bleached stained whites in the bath by just pouring in normal toilet bleach and warm water and leaving them to steep for a while. I'm sure harsh bleach isn't ideal for babies, but I dare say if you wash them another couple of times it should remove any excess.

Also, lighten up on the list and stop stressing! If you are struggling, get your OH to help you with the housework stuff rather than making him paint the garage door etc. Your baby won't care if the garage door isn't painted.

Some of you ladies are slave drivers!!!! My OH doesn't know how lucky he is lol.

Oh I also bought some patcholi oil this weekend in boots read in my baby mag this month that the herbal effects are great for stretch marks, and positive thinking and also as an aphrodisiac I mixed some drops into a huge vitamin e moisturiser from superdrug, and my skin is soo smooth..

The colour run stuf works really well IME (don't ask how I know though!). I didn't know you were supposed to keep the stuff wet before using it and am pretty sure its worked for me on things that have been dried first. I'd go straight to it to be honest, even if its not the most old style solution, as I think its most likely to work, and if it doesn't then you can try the other suggestions after it. I'd be concerned if you try other chemicals on the stains before you use the colour run that you'll set the colour and it won't work.

As for the storage bag, can you just buy a new one?

I think I will do that - so hard to know what will work best butg if you know those products work that's great. Was it the Vanish one you got or the other one?

I have emailed the company and asked for a new storage bag seeing as it shrank in a 40 degree wash, and if they say no I cna make a new one from some material. I'm more bothered about my minty nappy liners and stuff but have decided if it doesn;t come out I will dye the blankets and vests once I know what flavour of baby I've got.

I suppose the liners don;t really matter, I just am VERY emotional right now, I guess cos I am so close now?

    Hello everyone,

    *hugs* for tia
    Congrats to mollie :)
Labour vibes for tara! (and anyone else who wants them...)

I keep forgetting how big my bump is getting and then I get a shock when I see myself in any full length mirrors when I'm in the shops  We managed to decide on a cabinet we both liked for the babys room, so went and got that today (along with some really cute baby pink heart handles which we're going to use to replace the ones that came with it) :)

I'm also hoping you ladies can help - I'm trying to find good 'essential items / what to pack lists' for the hospital bag, and what we really need to have for when baby comes home - any ideas?

Bit headachy today - think I need to drink a bit more. If I go get a drink now I might as well get one of the mini feasts that are in the freezer...

Congratulations to MOLLY!! I was asking if there had been any news about you!
Welcome and congratulations to Kindof :T

I read a good tip about weeing after giving birth and that was to sit on the loo back to front. I can't think why it would work, and I haven't tried it myself, yet, but maybe it aims the wee differently so not to make contact with sore bits??
A tip I can vouch for 100% is to make damn sure you drink pints and pints of water and only go for a wee when you are at bursting point. I promise it works...youve drunk so much water, your wee is nice and diluted, not as acidic and if you wait untill your ready to burst it comes out so quick it doesn't have time to sting!! It really works, honest, I did it last time and will definatley be doing it again this time :D
love my little man he is amazing :j
