Morning girls, welcome to the newbies.

I'm feeling a bit fragile this morning, OH has gone back to work and i'm alone at home today and it's just making me a bit nervous, I went to the docs this morning and have been signed off to my due date but i was fighting tears the whole time i was there telling him about the last few days. Then i had to call work and tell them and i was fighting tears all over again....

and then i stupidly read up more info on placenta previa online and then read the notes that they'd written on my file while i was in hospital....just seeing that they'd advised the Special Care Baby Unit that i was there made me want to sob....

Need to pull myself together, no good sending negative stuff down to baby but it's so hard....

DS is being a nightmare at the moment. He's being so cheeky and rude. I ask him a question and he makes this awful blehhhing noise instead of answering. He behaves when he goes to my dads and when he's at school, he just seems to save all the naughtiness for me  I try not to let it wind me up but it's really hard. He's excited about the baby and it doesn't seem to be jealousy, but I suppose it could be.

Maybe he's just looking for the attention while it's still undivided?

Good luck, it must be difficult when you're so impatient!

Hypno, you'll be ok. Get in the habit of keeping your phone in your pocket and it'll be like a security blanket.

*hugs* to all. Whether you want them or not :p

HypnoNu - did you manage to PM MrsMoc?

I know it must be scary but just think how long MrsMoc went and defied all the doctors. Please don't google anymore! I made that mistake with my GD and got myself in a right state, I should find out more information today so will just and wait and see.

What are your plans for today? Try to keep yourself busy - do you have any good books in? Curl up on the sofa with a good book - keeps me occupied when I'm down and bored.

Pigpig, he must be sooo excited but anxious too. You're all just waiting now for the baby to arrive- its like watching paint dry! life must be going so slow now just waiting. He'll be fine when the baby comes I'm sure.

I keep popping on waiting for people to give birth ( i read alot more than i post)

Had my 36 week appointment today , I need to hold on till 37 plus weeks so i can have the lil lady at home. My aim is to get to 38 weeks when the other darlings have all finished for the 6 week holidays. Dreading doing the school run now as the births have halved each time and the last one came within half an hour. ekkk! I really dont want to give birth at Asda or B & Q so going to try and get her out soon - come what may!

    Morning ladies and bumps,

wish I was showing a bit more - trains into work were diabolical this morning and had to then stand on a bus for 30 mins! Just under 2 hours door to door, roll on maternity leave and makes me even more inclined to think I need to change jobs!

Welcome to newbies - selfishly especially to daisychain, we have the same due date (must update list, I had it as 4th Dec originally as I can't count, oops!) although I have another 19 days til my "20" week scan when we find out whether we are blue or pink. More importantly also find out if the high risk combined test at week 12 was just bad stats or if we need / decide on diagnostic tests.

Happy painfree labour vibes to everyone needing them. Boss is out today so who knows may get chance to check back properly later.

I haven't PM'd her yet but i will i think, I'm not google anymore, too much info is not good, i started finding stuff about women having to have a hysterectomy and nearly lost it completely, so am staying away from those sites.

I have a few good books, better start reading some more of my baby books i think seeing as we will probably be meeting this little fella sooner than planned! But before then, i think some tea and biccies are in order!

On a positive note, i think the baby is trying to be extra reassuring because he hasn't stopped wiggling all morning! So at least i know he's ok in there! it's the only time i don't mind a kick in the bladder and a jab in the ribs!

    Stay positive!

I've read that I might have to be induced between 38-40 weeks but will find out today if that's true or not.

After my panic yesterday at not feeling him move, he's certainly made it up for it last night and this morning. I think they know when we get anxious - little b00gers!

Glam - my consultant told me they'd be inducing me around 38-39wks as they don't want me to go the complete 40 wks due to the GD. From what I've heard, that's fairly common.

Big hugs and postive thoughts to Hypnonu and big hugs to labour vibes to pinkpig, Could have killed oh's mum last night as he was all wound up about work and parking spaces (Long story) and spoke to his mum who suggest a break !!! Which sounds so good to me and something we have been trying to save for. However she then said it would be a nice idea to go camping !! With his brother and sister because they are both a bit down as well and could do with a holiday. Now a) i dont want to go camping b) this will be our last break before we have the baby so i thought it would be just the two of us. On a brighter note have my 2nd midwife appt today as i am now 17 weeks and hopefully will get to hear the heartbeat.
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j

Yea, the literature they gave me said that. I'm glad really because I don't want to be sitting at home bored and overdue waiting for things to happen. Especially now I am finishing at 34 weeks!

When do you go on ML? Someone told me I was mad to work until 34 weeks with GD and that I should finish sooner but I think I would totally go round the bend if I finished any sooner!

How often do you check your blood sugars?
Me and Tia seem to have been given different advice so wondered what you did.
