No seriously, with DD it took me about 5 weeks to feel anywhere near normal, and this one has been fantastic, I am so glad I decided to go with my section. was walking about the next morning and was happy to shower and stuff the following day. Will be 3 weeks tomorrow and other than still feeling a bit bruised inside, I feel fine and am able to do most things. Cant walk too far without being a bit sore, and find standing up too long can hurt a bit too, but other than that, I would say I was functional enough after a week and have got better every day since.
Thanks MM.
Mine too was a bit of a nightmare and had a transfusion, think the dizziness and light-headedness over took the pain. Keep meaning to read your birth story like you said, as they both sound quite similar. May do that tonight once have DS settled in bed.
Oh is scared of the whole thing happening again, so am i too, to be honest. So elective seems the easier, more relaxing route. Just the after effects that bothers me. Just going round in circles in my head, pros and cons of elective and VBAC. The whole medical intervention thing does not bother me at all. They can give me all the drugs and intervene as much as they want.0 -

Sounds likely that you do have a UTI, they will culture it and see what strain it is and to which antibiotics it is resistant, till then plenty of water and cranberry juice if you have it (and can stomach the stuff). Ketone's, did you eat enough before you produced your urine sample? Might just be your body is taking longer to get over whatever you had a few weeks ago (was it viral maybe?).
Thanks Tiamai. I knew someone on here would know! I had a sandwich about 45 mins before my appointment, so should have been OK. My appetite is pants at the moment, and I didn't really feel like it, but I was a good girl and ate it all anyway, and had also had breakfast.
I do quite like cranberry juice as it happens, and have some in the fridge so can get going with that straightaway. Do you know how long it takes for them to grow the culture? Presumably a few days, if they are waiting for bac to grow and then analyse them0 -
fingers crossed for you tara,,,,im off now ,,but will be back in a cpl hours0

I 'think' it's 24-48hours, but call them as they tend to get the results back and not bother calling you, or that's what they did with me.0
