Wow, it's so quiet on here at the moment. Hopefully the weather's cooled down for everyone so you're all enjoying a lie in!
SJ-How lovely are your in-laws? That is so sweet of them to get you a voucher. I'm sure you'll find tons to spend it on.
No real plans this morning. I am so tired but just couldn't stay in bed any longer this morning. Now fancy something yummy for brekky but have nothing nice in. I've had a yogurt but might venture out for a mid-morning snack in a bit.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Arrrrrggghhhhh i was so down last night. Hubby took me shopping to a big retail park that doesn't shut until 9pm so i could get some maternity trousers, jeans, shorts anything really as nothing fits me now. It's ok while it's nice and warm i can wear dresses and skirts but yesterday it was non stop rain all day here so i need some jeans really to last me thoughout.
I looked everywhere and nothing fit. I am noramlly an 18 but i couldn't even get 18's over my thighs. And the other problem is i am only 4'11 so even if i could get the waist to fit (which i couldn't) the length was too long. there was tons of huge highstreet shops and i think it is really poor. They only had tiny maternity sections. I don't know what i am going to do. I was so fed up, hubby kept saying what a wasted trip it was, he was tired and he hadn't had a rest as we went straight from work and he hadn't ate as worked through his lunch, which made me feel worse. We were meant to have curry when we got home as a thank you to hubby for taking me but i had a ham sarni as felt rotten. This is my signature!0 -
Morning.
Elastigirl, sorry your shopping trip was so rubbish. I would suggest lookijng for petite maternity on ebay. I'm 5ft1 and its were i got all my maternity jeans. And would leggings not work for you?
DS's first swimming lesson today. Then back, shower and change him, drop him off at his Aunties, as she is taking him to watch (boring - in my opinion) cricket. But he loves it. Whilst I try do some shopping, no dog food again, return a dress i bought from Sainsburys without trying on. And get up to the hospital to see OH. Clean, Iron, walk dogs. Get bedding on the line and hope it doesn't rain. Pick up DS and then back up to the hospital so he can see his dad. Oh no, i'm tired just lookin at that. Aren't weekends for relaxing.

Ladies,
Over on the discounts board there is a new thread asking for mothercare codes. On there are two 10% codes which, used together, take 20% off the original total. Think this is a bit of a glitch so use it quick if there is something you need. Orders over £150 have free delivery too.
For those of you still wanting some, they have some nice maternity clothes on offer.
Anyone after the my choice pushchair - it's gone up in price since last week but the codes cancel out the increase and more besides.
Hope this helps somebody.
I'll go back and catch up now.

Where is everyone?
Some babies coming I hope, I need name inspiration from all you lovely ladies due before me.
Got a busy weekend ahead. Boss has just dropped his pasting table off for me to use at tomorrows car boot sale (weather permitting). Need to load up the car and sort out just how much I want to sell and what I want to take to the tip on the way home if it doesn't sell.
Parents are coming at 2pm (read 3 by the time they get here) to help put the rest of the nursery furniture together and then I can write up my complaint properly and send it off to mothercare. Decided that since I can't guarantee they would give me the pushchair chassis as compensation that I would order it using the 20% off and hold out for a substantial amount of cash back to make up for the trouble they have caused me.
Mum and Dad are treating me to Fish and Chips for tea so that I don't have to cook this time and I have got some nice cakes and sweets in to keep us going for the afternoon.:T
Off to morrisons to pick up a few of their offers before I start on all this work so I'll catch you all later.

Elastagirl, have you tried Evans normal clothes? I had a barney before my hol in early June as I had no cool clothes that fit (normally size 18-20). They had all sorts of trousers/jeans with elasticated waists (not sure about lengths cos I'm 5'7). I got two pairs of cropped linen-y pants for about £20 (for both) and a long pair. I then got my mat jeans from Next (£25 over the bump ones) from the tinternet. Got size 22 cos I have struggled with all other jeans and they are a bit big (hoorah!). Hoping as my bump gets bigger (30 weeks now) they'll hold up a bit better (though they fine to wear now).
HTH for big mat clothes!! Stopped my paddyxxx

I have never been so happy to see rain in my life!!!
Leggings - I [STRIKE]live in[/STRIKE] wear non-materinity ones, they fit under my bump lovely but I do need a few more pairs. I also got my bump band from eBay - more for a bit of support than anything else but it's too warm to wear it!
My feet are huge and one of the GP's said they looked massive and she was sure that they shouldn't be this big until the last month or so
its always my left foot/ankle thats swells in the heat....ooh and my left hand...strange.the other night i was on the couch with my right foot on the floor and the left one propped up as high as was comfortableThis may be a silly question, but as I am intending to breast feed (fingers crossed as it will be cheaper) should I bother to get any sterilisers/bottles etc. or should I just leave it and if I need to bottle feed worry about it then?
Also will I do much expressing. I was going to get a manual pump just in case but if I do that will I need the sterilisers/ bottles etc. why would I be expressing - would it be because I was too lazy and wanted DH to feed baby instead?
Sorry for my stupidity - hopefully by the time bump arrives I will have some idea what is going on
i'm hoping to breastfeed but i bought some bottles, breast pump and steriliser so oh can feed baby. And as Nicki mentioned, so if we want to go out for a few hours and have a glass of wine, i can leave expressed milk till the alcohol has gone from my system. i bought them in asda last baby event cos they were half price.
off to a christening today (strange day) looking forward to it cos its our very good friends and they have said that we can have some of their baby stuff as well!!
by the way, as someof you may remember i wasnt finding out if we were having a boy or a girl. i know now...
but oh has said i cant tell anyone on here cos we have only agreed to tell our parents...
but i may let it slip.....
just cant write it anywhere....'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
No babies here yet
I am fully expecting to have to go in for induction next Friday night.
Any progress with you yet Mollie?
Got the windows open for a lovely breeze but it's blowing my blinds all over the place! Got a load of washing in, hoovered through and mopped kitchen floor, got ironing board up ready to do ironing (at some point lol!)
Last night was loads better for sleeping, but I still managed to wake up at 4am restless! I came downstairs and watched some baby programmes then went back to bed at 6. DH went to the yard to fill his van up with diesel and has ended up working - hurray! Extra money always welcome!. They've told him he can have the van for the next 3 weeks until DS breaks up from school, so at least that will give us time to look for something, and means I don't need the car everyday.
Hope you all have a lovely day and enjoy the coolness!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
