Thanks all for your advice.
Would I be able to claim income support while pregnant s I have no income of my own.
Also I have had sickness the last few weeks, if I eat very much or things like pasta I find I bring it back up (sorry for the detail)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hugs hugs Beenie - i missed that you had lost your cat. I'd be devastated if mine died (and at 16 it can;t be long). :A
I'm going to hide behind a chair here, but when I had my DD (who was my second child) the cat was a bit off her food the day I went into labour but there wasn't anything we could do about it as we were hotfooting to the labour ward. I had a very difficult time and was in hospital for 10 days after I had DD. MIL was at home looking after my other child and the cat and OH spent most of his time at hospital, but everyone was very worried about me and no one gave the cat much thought. She died 2 days after I came out of hospital, when I saw the state she was in and insisted someone took her to the vet. Apparently her kidneys had been failing over that whole 2 week period
It took us a long time to get another cat as we felt so bad about what happened to this one. And then the new cat was eaten by an urban fox about 6 months after we got her, so we are now pet-free (much to the relief I suspect of rescue cats everywhere!)0 -

THey take your partner's income into account so it will depend what he is earning.
As for sickness - all very normal in the first trimester (and beyond!) but if it gets so bad you can't keep anything down then see your GP and he can give you something for it. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Brokenhearted - your best bet is to put together your work history and expected work that covers the time period of approximately 66wks prior to due date week, and then call job centre or benefits and they will tell you.
The £190 Health in Pregnancy Grant is not based on income, I believe everyone gets it. The surestart grant and maternity allowance have specific qualifiers so you'd need to see if you qualify. Not a clue on job seekers.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
I can keep light snacks down and am keeping all fluids down, just If I eat fruit I bring that back up or cheese too, I eat it and find within minutes I have to be sick.
I think I'm around 7-8 weeks but currently not sure of dates.
I will wait till after seeing the midwife then contact Jobcenter to find outThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
