We are having our first baby and are looking for advice and so forth from anyone who can offer any
One thing we are a little confused with is claims to the jobcenter; at what point in pregnacy do you make a claim?
Am booking appointment next week to see midwife for first appointment

Are you on benefits at the minute? Which ones? I've also been confused about this too and posted a thread here, still confused though I believe it's 29 weeks though.

Still devastated for losing my cat, i've been crying all day. Will probably rant/cry/moan about it in more detail another time though.

Currently not on any benefits as boyfriend has been supporting me however one income isn't going to be enough when baby is born and need to look at other income we can claim.
So, what benefits could I claim and when?

Not a lot I don;t think. I don;t get anything. I have put a claim in for Maternity Allowance which you can have earlier than I have if you want, then when baby is born you get Child Benefit of £20 a week or thereabouts, but there aren;t any pregnancy benefits.
