My mum's just rung (again!). After asking if I've had any twinges (again) she moaned that my aunty is ringing her everyday! She said 'I mean, as if I wouldn't tell her!' I thought 'I know the feeling mum!!'Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0

lol Searching I have the compulsary naked shots of lolly having her bum done and rather a fetching one of Ben prancing around dressed up as a princess after his sister gave him a makeover. I think the only one my parents still have of me was sat in the sink having a bath with my pink rubber ducky :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Woohoo! Congratulations!! (this means I am now 11th on the list)
Yes that's how I feel, I've had depression before too and had anti-d's but that was years ago and deffo don't want to start that up again. It must be the hormones so I'll try to remind myself that it's not forever.
OH can be sympathetic on the surface, he says the right things if I cry but we seem to be drifting apart lately. He spends more and more time on the computer and seems frustrated with me as I never want to go to the pub or the pictures. Even if I'm having a hard time it doesn't stop him getting overly angry and swearing at me. I know pregnancy can be a bit overwhelming for dads too but this makes me feel even more isolated and removed from "normal" life.
Oops, I'll shut up as I don't want to start bringing the thread down especially for those who are also having this miserable cloudy but strangely boiling weather! Going to put some music on and have a bit of a tidy up to see if that helps x
You're not brinign the thread down - it's good to talk about it. I also don;t want to go back on meds, so I haven;t spoken to my MW about it but I do make sure I am open on here and with certain friends so I don;t bottle it all up.
I really do think it's hormonal and because life is changing so much - unless it goes on for four or five days on the trot with no signs of lifting, in which case do get help, but as nicki says, we all have bad days and it doesn;t mean we are ill again, it's just a bad day.
Maybe we have more bad days than other people, but we also know how to cope with them better and we have our strategies in place.
I had a nice day. Went to a bumps cafe and met up with some nice people, although one person there when I was introduced as having three weks to go gasped loudly, and late rI heard her talking about me to someone else, saying 'that girl there in teh pink' and looking over.
I assume she thinks my bump is 'too small' and although I am now fine with it and feel fairly confident about the growth scan on Thursday, I think she was being bl00dy insensitive and were I not OK about it then it would have really upset me. It did upset me a bit anyway but then a lady due in a week came in and she is the same size as me and she was really nice.
Why DO people think they can comment openly on things like that? What if something WAS wrong with my baby? Doesn;t she think I'd feel awful enough already? DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Well had GTT Test this morning. No were near as bad as i thought it would be. They will ring me tomorrow if i have it.
Was also due to see the consultant to discuss DS's birth and elective section or VBAC this time, but my consultant was on the delivery suite today. Saw her registra and was totally unimpressed with her. My notes from DS birth and the emerg section are supposed to be in storage in Manchester, but seem to have gone missing. They were requested from the storage facility 15 weeks ago and have not arrived. They are being requested again! (what is wrong with computerised notes?). Anyway due to hazy memories from me and OH as to exactly what happened to warrant the emergency section and the following blood transfusion. (to my knowledge DS went into distress, bang on the button on the wall, carted off for section and i bled alot during the section, so blood count extremely low. )They said that i was to come back at 36 weeks and tell them for definate what i want to do. If i go for the elective - which is most likely - i'll go in at 39 weeks, which is around 12 September.
Ooh midwife also told me, that red-haired, fair skinned, freckly people. ie. ME. are quite prone to a lot of bleeding and low pain threshold.
Just fab!
Big congratulations to Chopstick and Caitlin Rose. And to MM, who will now have her hands full with Dylan.
Glam, Harley -I didn't leave the clinic when having GTT, but that was because i was to be seen in clinic by consultant also and could be called at anytime. OH was with me, so time passed a bit quicker. But he only came, because of the appointment with consultant, otherwise would have gone by myself with a book.
OH wanted to go to the cafe to get a drink and somthing to eat, during the wait. Quite sure he had no idea what type of test i was having, and had no idea i had fasted since 8.30pm the previous night:rolleyes:. Kept going on about how hungry he was. Men!!0 -
Aww skint i'm sorry someone has upset you so badly people can be so insensative sometimes. I mean bump size can mean nothing at all we all come in different shapes and sizes. My friend at work didnt even have to buy maternity clothes she got away with a size bigger as her bump was so small but bab was perfectly healthy yet im the size of a flaming house and still have 10wks to go. Just ignore them chick:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
