Too hot!!! Haven't been in from the school run long, I dumped the school stuff right infront of the door, ran upstairs and stripped off! Just in the short time I was in the car going to school and then stood in the playground waiting for the kids to come out I got soooo hot sweaty and really uncomfortable. Yuck. I really HATE this weather, wish it would fcking snow!!

Im on a downer with work too. Im starting to struggle with my job as it's really physical. Its a hard enough job normally, nevermind doing it at almost 6months pregnant but I went in this morning and got told the news that were having our hours cut YET AGAIN  but basically we have the same amount of work to do but in a much shorter time! So means I have to rush around like a blue !!! fly to get finished on time. I hate being under pressure,I get all flustered. Its soooo hot in there too (hotel) and Im a hayfever sufferer so feel shiote to start with. Makes me so angry cos the company is making huge profits, they just wanna make even more money for their big fat bonuses. Wouldn't mind but Im on minimum wage!! Its been suggested that I go to my doctor and explain all this, see if he will sign me off sick untill my Maternity pay would start, (if I even get that!!)
I went in this morning all ready to tell them all I was going to try stay working up untill 36weeks too.
love my little man he is amazing :j

Whoop whoop!! We're moving house in 3 weeks! We had just signed another 12 months on the house we are in now but we're not convinced it's toally baby-friendly (ok for us but a bit damp, some places are a bit bodged up etc). So got my lovely H2B to call the letting agents and they recommended another property they'd just reduced the price on today. we went to see it this afternoon and it's perfect!!

Bigger than where we are now, in a better area, newly decorated, no bodges, no damp, and £45 a month less rent!!

I'm so happy!! Sending out my excitement and happiness to all on the thread!!!!

    xx

    Hi Ladies,

Hope you don't mind I've added myself to the list:j

I've been offline for a couple of weeks as I had a heterotopic pregnancy. Basically I was having twins but one was ectopic and I had to have an emergency laparoscapy to remove it a couple of weeks ago. We had a scan on Friday and luckily the other bean is fine :D. The docs have given me progesterone pessaries to use up to 12 weeks so hopefully I'll be hanging around. Apparently it is very rare, 1 in 30,000 pregnancies so all the medical professionals I've seen are very excited by it all!

Hope everyone is having a good day x

Congratulations IHF! I think I remember seeing you on the TTC thread when I was on there so glad your finally joining us :)

Loads of Labour vibes going out to those who need them and hugs to those with allday sickness and other stresses.

Hi, my daughter is 12 weeks pregnant and it is her birthday next week. I am giving her some money for maternity jeans etc but would like to buy her a little "mum to be" surprise. What would you ladies suggest? I have been looking on Boots website for toiletries etc.but cant seem to get any inspiration!

    Good for you SJ

Helen - thats rotten. If you think you can get your doctor to sign you off it may be worth it - depending on your sick pay. But they should be making things easier for you at work not more difficult. I had to go through a risk assessment with my colleague who is the health and safety person and they made a few adjustments (i.e. to not pick up any heavy files - get someone else to do it) luckily I work at a desk job. If you want to stay working I am sure there is something to say what your employer should be doing. I'll have a look see what I can find.

Elle, great news about the home plan! I read on the parenting thread but got called away before I could reply. The surestart thing is incase you need any adaptations to your house for Rhys, right now it will be stair gates and the safety pack, later on it may be things like grab rails at the toilet and bath, a special bed if he needs it. Sooner you get on their books the easier it is to get what he needs.

Coxy, bio oil. We all swear by it for stretchmarks, but it always seems more expensive when you buy it for yourself. Much better than the mum to be moisturiser etc. A mini fan and I'd fall in love with you right now!

It's so hott!!!! I've got a vest top on with no shrug, which I never do because I hate my falbby houlders, but it's just too hot to wear much else. Also the downside to over the bump jeans is that pannel makes you sweat! And also loads of BH today as well.

Hi Coxy that would be a lovely thing to do How much roughly do you want to spend. How about the family clubbing together to get her a 4d scan for when she is bit further gone i splurged on one this time and its the most wonderful experience. Something to help keep her cool over the summer would prbably be a godsend as well as you can tell from us lot moaning its not easy in all this heat :-)
