    Morning all..

MM and Searching, if you want tips on how to increase your supply, either give me a shout or search on the Parent Thread - that's orginally why I started leaning more towards that thread, because I was asking questions on low supply. There are various things you can try if you want to, but of course you don't have to :)

Hope everyone is well :) My parents are away this weekend in Glastonbury, but not at the festival - it's my Great Aunt's diamond wedding anniversary so there's a big family party today - so we have the house to ourselves :D We've going to spend the afternoon at our house, moving and sorting some things so the living room is clear to paint next week. We've given the builder next week off whilst we get sorted and clear the bedroom then he's coming back to remove and replace the bay on our bedroom then he's done. Mostly decorating left to do now.. In three weeks it should all be done - and my due date was three weeks this Sunday ;)

    Hi all.

I'm really peeved so I hope you don't mind me coming on here to rant. I don't want to say anything to RL people since I have made such a big thing about being able to do everything on my own. Not through choice obviously, but lots of people were quite negative to begin with so I refuse to give them the satisfaction of being right.

I have 2 very close friends both of whom had babies last November. They have involved me quite a bit in babies lives as we all thought I would not be able to have any of my own. Anyway, my 1st scan mate 1 came with me. 2nd scan offered mate 2 to come with me but she was on holiday. Asked if I could rearrange it for her but it was too short notice for hospital and would have caused a 4 week delay so mate 1 came again.

Now, this Monday coming I have booked a 4D scan. I booked it a month ago and offered her again to come with me since she missed out on 2nd scan. She said she would love to as long as family didn't want to come - they haven't asked and given their original lack of support I have been reluctant to try to ram it down their throats (they are coming round to the idea now though).

10 mins ago I got a text from her saying that she didn't want to come now and I should ask someone else. 48 hours notice - brilliant. Mate 1 is on holiday monday so she can't come, still don't really think parents would want to as they said the scan was a waste of money in the first place, and there is not really anyone else I want to share the moment with. BTW, this is the same mate who originally offered to help me with the birth then changed her mind about whether she would be able to, when it was her suggestion in the first place.

I'm not even sure why this has upset me so much, I think I just hoped that everyone else would be as excited about this baby as I am. I guess at least this way I will have half an hour completely devoted to my little girl and in reality I am probably the only one who really matters. I'm just hurt that my friend is not as interested in this one as I have been in both of hers.

Sorry for the rant but thanks for letting me get it off my chest

    Hugs Harley...

As soon as you get back from the Scan you'll have to post pics to here and we can all coo and fuss over your little angel...!

Used to have friends like that... ended the relationship because of it and when ex left she was straight on phone wanting to know the gossip... told her i didnt need her involved.

maybe it would be worth mentioning to your mum? it might make her realise you want her involved and will help her bond with her granddaughter?

    Thanks Jillie and Fitz.

I don't know what is wrong with me, I really shouldn't be getting so upset about it. It's her loss really I suppose as I will still get to see my little girl and I have been looking forward to it for so long.

I'm hoping that when I see her face it will help me come up with a name for her.

I'm also sulking cos I have to go to a party tonight (60s fancy dress) and I don't really feel like it and I have just tried on the clothes that I was going to wear and none of it fits.
A couple of months ago I bought some bootcut maternity jeans. they are quite long so can only be worn with heels but are really flattering and I was looking forward to dressing up. I tried them on this morning and I can't even get the thighs past my calves. That has probably not helped with the whole 'feeling sorry for myself' mood.

Anyway, had a good cry so feeling a bit more lively again now. Just waiting for the sun to get round the back so that I can go out and cut the back lawn. In the meantime I am cheering myself up ogling Tony from NCIS.

I'm still doing yoga at 36 weeks and find I can do most things - is your teacher altering poses for you?

I am now able to get my breaths down to just two per minute - the same as advanced yogis - so I'm hoping that will stand me in good stead for the birth.

Anyway, whatever you have done will be better than nothing.

Hi Skintchick, my teacher is trying - she hasn't taught a pregnant lady before although she has had some training but I seem to spent a lot of time just sitting or doing cat and cow when the others are on their tummies or backs or upside down. So I really need to go to a pregnancy class - the only reason I haven't so far is my teacher is part funded by work so I only pay £3 for an hour and a half class - bargain!

Hugs Harley, hope you enjoy cutting the grass, it looks nice and sunny today - too warm for you to be wearing jeans tonight as well so wear something a bit cooler and I'm sure you will still have fun :)

Harley (((hugs))) your feeling upset because you've been let down by those who you thought would be supporting you and you have every right to feel let down.

Go to your scan and enjoy it and then post all the pics for us :D

About the jeans, a few weeks ago mine suddenly went too small. They were fine on the Sunday and by the Tuesday I couldn't get them on! I was on here saying they had shrunk. A week later they were fitting again so I think it was maybe just my pelvis or hips expanding or something, very strange.

Out to watch the gala parade with DS2. Then a little tidying, pack for DS2, go to the gala (kids get free crisps juice and ice cream), drop off DS2 and go to matalan to try and get a nice top for tonioght.
