SM - there wasn't a bag of chocolate raisins so had to have some pic n mix -£1.20 I ended up spending! Plus a Mint cornetto mmmmm
Tara/SM - I had heard that you just don't care anymore. I can't wait to have my baby. I'm sure it won't take long before I don't really care who sees my bits but at the moment I still get a bit shy even for a smear!
That sounds nicer that being induced anyway. Hope it works out for you Tara.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

I'm drinking my first cup of RLT over here ... it tastes extremely healthy. I'm tempted to drink more of it because I'm finding it quite nice. Perhaps I shouldn't.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Tara, hope the sweeps work!
Who was talking about chicken pox? For boys make sure you have some teething gel in the house, both my boys got them on their pee-pee's and they screamed. Had to put teething gel on them to ease it a little (then the pharmacist gave me catheter gel). Lots of cool baths for them to splash about in too.
Still getting regular BH, if I were further on I'd be trying sex, curry, nipple stimulation to get things moving! As it is I'm just peeing lots.Feel ok today... cos I forgot to take my morning labitalol. Went back to bed for an hour then had to go to the GP, then get lunch etc and so I've still not taken it.
Also DH called the hospital and made a complaint about the Registrar I saw yesterday.
And my GTT test in Thursday not Tuesday.
DS1 is off school today after his announcement this morning 'Mum my balls hurt'. So been to GP urine sample given and will wait and see. And the conversation to name them testicles, not balls when speaking to your mother. :rotfl:0 -

Hey all - just had 28 wk MW appt - and she asked if we'd considered home birth given I wanted low-key and minimal intervention... she was v positive about it (and using hypnosis and a birthing pool) not what I expected really, you kind of think they won't be that 'pro'... So we're going to have a home visit to discuss the options so we can make a decision... we would still have the MLBU as an option. Surprised ... and intrigrued...MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

My MW told me at 9weeks that I could think about HB if I wanted to! I was gobsmacked because I didn't think it was an option with my first!
OH doesn't want to - he doesn't know what to expect and neither do I. So, I think I'll have midwife led unit birth on this one and see how I feel afterwards. I'll be leaving it til last minute to go to hospital so knowing me I'll leave it too late and end up giving birth in the car :eek:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I think OH's main concern originally was the practicality side of things like what happens to all the icky stuff (typical bloke!) rather than the risk so I think we'll see what she has to say about how it might work and then decide. I do like the idea of being in familiar surroundings and OH can be 'useful' by filling the pool and getting snacks
The only thing might be the weird factor - of knowing you gave birth in a room where you later have people round etc!
Not sure, but has given me food for thought!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

It's the icky stuff that would put me off...0

I like to think that in the event you wouldn't even notice the icky stuff (like pooping in the pool!) as you'd be so caught up in the wonder of the baby arriving... She reckons the ick factor is easily controllable but will see! I'm reckoning on coming face to face with lots of various bodily fluids one way or another (maybe not literally though!)MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!
