you must have read my mind, cos was thinking of launching a protest against company, Have contaced BBC watchdog & phoned local press who might run a story.

Get the press to come with a camera when you are outside the store handing out flyers with the report printed on it, and if they make you go off their land stand just outside the gates and hand them out to people. It should not cost you that much to get the flyers made on your pc and a copy shop. ;)
The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.

Is it the Cisse corner unit. If so I am currently sitting on one whilst waiting for a replacement. SCS did offer to replace it with the same one but I declined so have chosen another so just waiting for it to be delivered. It has taken a while to get sorted though so dont give up.

Hi, thanks for advice. Have now been advised by ScS that they have passed independant report onto manufaturers who want to inspect. Trading standards have said to allow this happen with them present or else we are at stalemate.
Fingers crossed now that it will be sorted but will be videoing when manaufaturers do the inspection.

OK So now I am not getting anything from SCS - This is one of many forums I have read which follow a very similar pattern.

I can't imagine how much stress it is - so good luck everyone!

I have one question though - where should I get a sofa? SCS, CSL and DFS all have quite bad reviews? I can't find anything much on Furniture Village?

I can't really afford a designer one from John Lewis etc so now I'm stuck sitting on a sun lounger:cool: whilst I decide.

    Thanks everyone!

I think sun lounger may be 100% more comfie. I would go to small local retailer as if they get bad press will go out of business. Good luck!!!

Rep from trading standards said that if I refuse to manufacturers doing inspection then we wont really get anywhere. As it turns out it is an independant consultant acting for the manufacturers & he is going to come when Lynn from TS can be present. I'm getting kinda jaded with it all now & if I lived on my own would probably give up but sick of fighting with my 2 teenage lads for the comfie side!!!!!:rotfl:

Find someone who is registered with fira? Do you really NEED a new one- buy second hand =don't conform to what the advertisers say you should do.
