Take one jar of runny strawberry jam, one pint of double cream and the juice of a lemon. Bung it all in and freeze!
One tin of mangos in syrup, lemon juice, one pint of double cream......
One pint of cream, one big punnet of raspberries, lots of icing sugar, juice of a lemon....mush the raspberries and icing sugar - it should be ridiculously sweet because freezing makes it less sweet. Bung it in the ice cream maker.
One pint of cream..... you get the ideaWell behaved women rarely make history.0 -
We made a delicious mango ice cream by mixing a large tin of mango puree (from an asian grocer or the asian section of your regular supermarket) with a large carton of double cream, then churn & freeze. Really simple and delicious, especially after a curryOfficial DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

The best ever ice cream recipe is this one its a bit involved but its worth it....
2 egg yolks
50g sugar
125ml of water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
600ml soft whipped cream (measured when whipped)
whisk egg yolks until light and fluffy
combine sugar in water in a pan and heat until it reaches a thick syrup
pour this into the eggs whisking continuously to stop the egg making scrambled egg
add vanilla and whisk again until it becomes a thick and creamy mousse
fold into the cream and freeze

I love frozen yoghurt, and it got me thinking that I could just stick single pots in the freezer when they're reduced at Morrisons - would that work or would I have ice crystal issues?0
