Just caught up with your diary. Wow! your kitchen was a lot worse than mine and I think you have done well to last as long as you did. Mine all matched and it still drove me mad. If I knew how to do it I would stick some pictures on my own diary of before and after to show you to keep you motivated:D I can't wait to see your after pics.

Michelle you have just reminded me I need to enquire about preschool for DD, i think I got distracted yesterday by my tooth!

Great news on the tax code. Have you ever used one of those unison forms that help reclaim tax? DH and I did it and got small rebates and better tax codes.

DH is right about tax code. The 'rebate' will come in his wages though rather than an end of year cheque :) I am always free to assist in matters of payroll :) Anyone who pays professionan or union subs please make sure you are getting your tax relief on them :) Oh and pension contributions :)

  • Michelle, we still have 1970s flotex carpet in our kitchen...ewwww. Problem is there's no point in tiling the floor until we have a new kitchen as then we will have to retile.

Its def right to wait until you can do the job properly.

  • I was pleased there was no rain for school run here today as I got soaked yesterday but today, I managed to fall over on the school run, taking Sam down with me. So much for holding onto my hand for safety!

Frightening how quickly money can be spent isn't it, especially when it takes all month to earn it!

  • Good for you - me too. Annoyed that my 0% cards are keeping my overpayments down so never using them again. You saw it here first.

Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • Here's to 2011 Michelle! Although a bit early maybe...
