haha such an exciting weekend plannned. We had gammon for tea too with a potato gratin. OH is currently putting the oven shelves in a bag of oven pride. My mum having a mini freakout about me/her unborn grandchild being near chemicals so is coming over tomorrow to clean it/kitchen but OH under instruction to get the stuff in it overnight. My sister is taking the kidlettes too. Arent you jelous???? mwahahahahaha.

In all seriousness i will be emptying the kids drawers and weeding out clothes no longer suitable. DD2 has alot of t-shirts in 12-18 that she is just growing into but Scottish winter is not the time for t-shirts so I plan to pack that sort of stuff into some suitcases.

So glad the kids are now in bed. DS2 just left a floater in the bath. When they were in the middle of a bubble bath with all their toys. Why are children so gross? I was so mad at him. He didn't even say.

As my mother would say ..."well he's seen someone do that before!".
Its got to be a boy thing. :)

Think the all work thing is typical of the run up to Christmas. I am very very bored of 2010 now and just want 2011 to arrive and quickly.

  • My days. My life is such a thrill at the minute. A few things definitely need to change in the next few weeks. All work and not much play at the minute.

You're not alone in the feeling that everything is process/tasks/jobs and so little is fun/just being.

Is this how our parents felt I wonder??

I know what you mean about the chores as well, being on my own I have to do everything as well, and am the same with everyone asking what the kids want. I get quite stressed about getting everything for everyone, and I hate giving presents and waiting for the 'pretend' oh thats great look on their faces!
The weekend is here again and I would just love to be able to sit and do nothing but the housework is always never ending and sometimes I just want to cry!

I am lucky becaue Mum over doing the 'heavy' stuff for me today. Pammy TBH men are useless so at least there is only you and the kids. sometimes my OH is like another child :). His mum is over now though so he really is like a child because his mum is ordering him about and i'm sitting on my buttocks

    Mortgage-free Glee!
We just bought a new washer and I'm ashamed to say that I found it equally enjoyable :rotfl:. The old one used to shake the house to the foundations whereas you can hardly hear the new one even when it's spinning at 1400rpm. Sad or wot?
