Sounds like a busy day - you must be tired now though? We've had loads of rain here too, some of it really heavy.
Hope you sleep well and not long now till DH gets back - good news that the kitchen is being put back a bit too.0 -
Hi michelle.
A happy belated anniversary ! How long has it been ?
I look at the losing of the purse as a warning sign to slow down and take it easy. You weren't meant to lose that money at all it was a warning sign ifgwim. I'm a great believer in all that. You're a good person. What goes around comes around
When will the kitchen be finish . - cant wait to see the piccies like the bathroom ones

Edit how horrid about the robbery - no wonder you dont like to be alone. I dont think any woman would do either after that
xI can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Goodness how scary - hope you at least get some rest, sounds like the boys were good today so hopefully that will continue into tomorrow. At least you can get some knitting done , take care.0

Id hate to be away from OH for any night never mind an anniversary so I totally understand you. I hate it when he works nights as i really dont want to waste time being away from him. Have you got plans to celebrate when he's home?
You never really get over things like the robbery but you learn to live with it.Id be surprised if you had got over that quickly. Why would anyone do that to another person?! It can be a horrible world we live in sometimes.
I think a lot of us on here suffer with depression sometimes if we don't watch ourselves and I think its quite weird that whenever anyone ( like you or even I for example ) feel down that we all feel it at the same time . You can read peoples diaries and sense it sometimes. Its like we all feel that way together.
Oh god now the wine IS talking!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
 Thats shocking. How terrifying for you all. I can't begin to imagine what you must think of it all even now.
Sounds like our type of anniversary too. Simple but lovely.
You made me laugh about the boys getting excited about the library. My mum is over from France and she took the lads aged 13 and 11 to the supermarket today and they were excited ..NOW that IS sad! I think its actually worse than the library!
At least your son could save you a fortune in vet bills! Very MSE :money:I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Hi , just wanted to pop in and say hope you are feeling a bit happier with DH due back, I feel exactly the same as you. Even if he goes out for the evening I can't sleep until he is home, I have to say it doesn't work both ways though, if I go out hes always fast asleep when I get in.
I was also thinking how nice it is that so many of us enjoy our OH's company, theres a lot of people I know at the moment seperating or not getting on, so its just nice to hear really!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
OMG Michelle, an armed robbery????
That's it, you have inspired me, I'm going to start a diary. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Hey Michelle
scary about the purse- but great you got it back!! I have lost mine before and its just such a horrible feeling , all those "what ifs" and having to cancel everything! ... must restore your faith tho to have got it back
sorry dh is away for the anniversary- can you set a date to celebrate it when he is back? (maybe with a babysitter!) its hard being on your own when we are so used to having them around I know I was at a loss when mrtyo is away! the armed robbery sounds horrific, Im so sorry that happened to you - I went through an attack in my home about 7 years ago, not a robbery but was held for hours and was surprised to get out intact (physically anyway!) anyway - depressing story so wont go into it here, but I did want to say its interesting the time scales of these kinds of trauma .. I was "fine" (too fine) for about 6-9 months afterwards, friends were wondering how on earth I was coping, and then I crashed big style... then again a couple of years ago, parts I hadnt really dealt with hit me ...I dont think it has a timescale of "its been this much time therefore I should be ok with it", there will always be parts of it that trigger things in your mind , I dont like dark houses or being on my own at night, certain words or phrases or people being near me in certain ways can freak me out ... mrtyo is great but sometimes its hard to say "Im still effected all these years later"- as something you and DH went through together I dont know whether that makes it easier or harder to talk about to each other?
on other notes- glad the kitchen plans got scaled back to when DH is back to help out- I can only imagine how hectic having work done in your home would be with little ones to look after/keep an eye on!will be good to see pics as always looking for inspiration of what to do with my house!
