If you are not Techie...all the more reason for you to follow instruction. You constantly asserting that you "should be able to copy" is just...... annoying.

I'm trying to help you and you are just being difficult.

Just copy and paste in exactly the same place that you would with Internet Explorer. Have you actually tried it?

Please, stay focussed. This should just take a minute.

If this is proving too difficult for you, just follow the path by navigating(double clicking on) to: C: and then to Documents and Settings and then to Administrator and then to Application Data and then to Mozilla and then to Firefox and then to Profiles. Easier?

Sorry not got time to read the thread so may have already been mentioned...

Definately check out foxmarks (now xmarks)
    .
Basically it sync's your bookmmarks onto a server so they are backed up, but you can also access them anywhere i.e. when not on your home PC.

    Great piece of software

    I am not being difficult!

The facility is in organise bookmarks and it is not working!

I have gone to C and after documents and settings there is no Administrator.

There is nowhere to paste anything in W E, as there is in I E

However I have got to a position that I got re my reply #19 but only got headings!

Now at the same position I get "Default" & "Default User".

The Default only gives the headings, of no use to me.

But I have now got from the Default User, a correct list that I can put into a folder on the desk top.

Thanks for the input and assistance, but the question has still not been answered as to why I cannot just use the FF book marks organiser as other people seem to be able to do so?

I should not need to go through all this rigmarole.

As you said, you have not read the thread, I have Foxmarks,(now Xmarks), but it does not give me the facility to put onto the desktop or to a disc.

Donnie, just a thought, using the user method, is that list up to date? i.e. if I add something to Bookmarks during the next week, is that list automatically updated?

Please just follow the instruction. No thinking, just following. Your thinking has caused you to waste four and a half hours.
