I wonder if this is in connection with the mad woman who was going to sue everyone because she was outbid on the shoes?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0

You have recieved good advice, I think what you mean here is you haven't recieved advice that agrees with your rather bizarre way of thinking.
And yes I know I said I was going to put the OP on ignore, am off to do it now before I can get more annoyed with their stupidity.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
FWIW, some good advice, but majority was knee-jerk stupid sarcasm.
the nauseating tendency to gang up on someone who rejects and exposes such poor advice is par for the course unfortunately
no wonder we ( uk ) get put upon by all and sundry in this once good land
no wonder this country is the laughing stock of the rest of europe and the USA
you have my condolences

Have you never been given bad advice irl? You don't have to take it.
If you've never experienced crappy advice before this, wow.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -
Again...I don't see how they are responsible. Sure, they advised you to cancel your card, but you were the one who cancelled it, and you were the one who listened to them. I agree that a lot of the ebay cs are idiots, but just because they advised you to cancel, didn't mean you have to. You're the one who actually did it.The fact is ebay is responsible for my problem, therefore they should be accountable.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -
Ebay were wrong about it being a dodgy website. Cutlery has knives in it and they will ask for your card details before you can buy it. We had this when we tried to buy some. It's an offense to sell any knife to a under 18 (even cutlery ) so they ask for proof of age, i.e. a credit card. Edit: which I've just realised that you know
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

I was only reading about this earlier http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/aug/11/children.foodanddrinkstevew8975 wrote: »What I do object to is compensation culture. All it achieves long term is more legislation, terms, conditions and rules to try to prevent more claims, and ultimately increased costs for the rest of the users.
In my opinion compensation culture seems to be the career choice for the Jeremy Kyle influenced generation.
It's a strange world we live in...How did we get to this point? Our sense of self grew too strong. We gazed up our own bums for so long, we each became the centre of the universe. We're not mere specks of flesh, jostled by the forces of chance. We're flawless deities, and goddammit we deny - deny! - the very existence of simple bad luck. If we trip on the pavement, someone else is to blame. Of course they are. And we'll sue them to prove it if necessary. This is my opinion. The tendancy for people to blow a simple problem out of proportion and refuse to take responsibilty for there own actions is par for the course i'm afraid.
Yes it was bad advice but you didnt have to take it you lost no money. So calm down and move on if not just try and take them to court. Then you will loose money.0 -
Crikey! I imagine the average health of the posters on this board is well below par!
Anyways, I hate ebay. I'd love you to sue the hell out of them. But you need a lawyer to build you a case with hard evidence of solid fact.
