I have just had to release the Ipswich red (clothes) discount shop on Abai if it helps anyone. Be careful though as it says to be done BY the 18th.....and then says ON the 18th, and there is no leaway.0

Will be thinking of you and hoping that your DH finds a new position soon. And three cheers ( well 3 claps!) for Scotsbob :T:T:T
Totally, Thanks to everyone for the support and advice i have received on this sit, Scotsbob is a gem. I only signed up here a few weeks ago and have enjoyed it, I would hate to think that being a newbie is a pest, I havent been made to feel like that, as you can see, people on here can be lovely
I am not doing MS for a monthly income, I was very ill for the past 2 years and i became a recluse, I have an income from my part time job which i do 2 shifts a week, other times i just dont go out so I am doing this for motivation to actually get out of bed and make a few pennies for doing it, I was a customer services coach for 8 years until we were made redundant and I just hate bad customer service....hopefully we can do this:eek:
Now with my hubby redundant tho im thiking of saucey phonecalls, or pimping him out, any advice from fellow pimps????!!!!! :A:money: giving me & my darling boys a better cheaper life:A

Would strongly advise against pimping him out, someone I used to work with got done last week for doing just that: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/8138315.stm
He thought he could make some extra pennies by pimping his wife out lol0 -

As MS'ing is not a full-time job and it's all self-motivation to pick up a good visit, do the report well, submit it, etc, there is a certain element of having in the back of your mind the whole time, to make sure are still on point and not letting it slide.
To some people MS and other field work is their main job as they don't have any other paid work. You wouldn't put "I'm a secretary on £20K a year" or whatever your job and salary are in your signiture, so I don't understand why people feel the need to post their MS salaries.
An "outsider" won't know how much work the job entails as you mention. They may just see that people are making £x and they think "wey-hey, I want a bit of that!"
I'm guessing MS companies must be getting some sloppy people on board now, as it's been noted on here the increase in last minute jobs popping back up, the GFK email that was posted earlier and having to confirm and double confirm that you are going to do jobs. Personally I've noticed an increase in begging calls to do last minute jobs or repeat jobs because it hasn't been done properly first time. That's not directed at anyone on here, before anyone takes it the wrong way. I know things do happen and we all have to juggle things or release occasionally.aplaceinthesun wrote: »Hmmmm I dont think a signature is 'advertising' something in particular .... well not mine , I purely have it there for MY OWN incentive . If people choose to see that and think they can make quick easy cash without looking into the facts then more fool them .... Its like the grocery challenge , people post their targets and how they are getting on as an incentive to themselves. Blimey if I read every challenge signature and thought that I could 'do that' then I would be rich and have no debt !
The difference is, that nobody else is affected by people who join the grocery challenge, same with matched betting and selling personal junk on ebay etc. In the MS world, there's a finite amount of work to go around. The more people that it gets advertised to and sign up, the less work there is to go around. I just think it's better that people happen to stumble across this thread by themselves rather than see an "advert" by reading your sig in any of the other forums you use. Less people would take notice.
It's not just sig's here. I also get annoyed with the number of magazine articles that say "do mystery shopping and get paid for eating out, having fancy hair do's and going to hotels...." but they never say "go and eat a manky burger for a couple of quid" or "go and buy a kettle, wander round for 45 minutes and then look like a numpty taking it back saying you've changed your mind." It would be much less glamourous if they were truthful
Just my views anyway and hope my paragraphs are ok:rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....0
