  • Firstly, commiserations to Drea and hubby. I was made redundant a few years ago and although we could manage financially at the time, it really knocked my confidence. I hope you get something sorted out soon as it's a rotten situation to be in.

Secondly, what a lovely thing for Scotsbob to suggest! I think this kind of attitude really shows the best of this forum - the vast majority of people on here are lovely and caring, and this is an excellent example of it.

I just want to apologise that I didnt comment about these posts ..... my DH was made redundant in April and it was a really worrying time , fortunately he has another job now , admittedly its 60 miles away and its a long journey each day .... Will be thinking of you and hoping that your DH finds a new position soon. And three cheers ( well 3 claps!) for Scotsbob :T:T:T
  • Can I just add my thoughts to Drea - I hope you come out of this bad business relatively unscathed. I actually have 0 jobs so can't pass any on!
  • I really apologise for getting caught up in something that made you both feel like this. My earlier post was simply meant to be a conversational response to the idea of the MS challenge signatures and I didn't for the life of me anticipate that I would be attacked for my lack of paragraphs or that it would turn into this. I thought I was just taking part in the conversation, but I can't abide people who act as though they are above others for whatever reason and try to Lord it about. For my part, I felt as though I had to defend myself.

I am very sorry to have been part of creating that bad atmosphere and I hope that it can be cleared now. :o

Please please dont apologise to me , you have absolutely no need , I enjoy reading your posts and there is no way you were the instigator of any atmosphere , particularly with the wording of your posts . I am just frustrated that this 'used to be friendly place' is not so friendly now , there just seems to be a few people that want to make things difficult or upset people ... as I said the paragraph comment was the last straw ...

    Blindman,

I dont come on here to read patronising posts that are trying to show you up as a big man, trying to make some of us here feel small.

Regardless of how long you have been here or how much experience you have, you need some training in how to speak to people!

I would recommend that, if you cannot hold your tongue, you use the door and leave the forum, which would then enable us lot who are nice to each other to continue to use the thread for its intended purposes.

Don't take it personally -he does it on other threads too :)

The pity is that by alienating people with the condecending tone and pickiness (like the paragraphs comment) his sensible points (like MSing isn't a bottomless pot) get missed or ignored.

I'm not seeing these anywhere and I've searched lots of postcodes! Even booked ones, but none there either.

Is there a way on Aba-i to see all the jobs, not just in your area?

Can anyone tell me how to search for all of these stores at once as I have been searching via place names only  Thanks! :j

Where it says "Local", click "other" which is next to it.

In the search box, just put a * and click search, you will get all jobs up :)

Search for other and * instead of a postcode or place :)
