Has anyone else done a job for RE in the music shop. I booked it ages ago, date came round today. I was sure the fee was £x and spending £xx now it's showing as £x for both. I went and spent £xx as I am sure that's what I saw on the site.

Exactly. And that's why this forum doesn't need to be changed. The people who post on here do so because they like it as it is. Others should, like you say, go elsewhere to a 'serious' forum if they want to be 'serious'.

I think that should read "some" of the people who post here. You don't speak for everyone here. Therefore it's some.

    There's only ONE fee

Out of which you have to get travel To\From the airport
Hotel costs +food at the destination (unless of course you stay with friends).

Actually there's a named fee for each leg (ie outward and return apart from the Sydney ones). Clearly states fee is £xx for outward and £xx for return-and no of course it doesn't cover all the hotel costs in the same way it's poor value to take certain dining jobs for reimbursement only-but if you like certain resturants-or travelling-then it may be worth it -to certain individuals. I travel anyway -if Bare want to pay my fare (often in a higher class than I travel in paying for myself) and throw in a contribution towards my hotel -I'm not complaining. In fact for Vegas where I can get comped rooms-it's even better. :)
Works for other things too-I wanted some new baking pans-and got a job at a kitchen shop -ended up with 3 lovely pans(they had a buy 2 get 1 free offer on) -that I needed -at zero cost with the reimbursement and fee taken off. Good for me cos I cook -maybe not so good for YOU if you don't-we're all different .

You might want to add a link to the priceline thread to your guide too btw.

I posted this guide a while back, most of it is still relevant

Firstly thanks for the link that's the sort of thing that should be in an FAQ for this thread, see if you can break into the clique and get it accepted.

Regarding the flights, all I can say mate is that I got a phone call on a Friday asking me to go on a Thursday and I couldn't be bothered and said no it was too much hassle getting to London and at my own expense. Then I got a call on the Monday and I said ok and got a bit extra for humping all the way down to London.
You are correct I had to find my own accommodation but I called on a favour and got sorted. Wouldn't do it again though.
It's a long tiring journey for not a lot.

Hey, they just were on my client list. I hadn't done any thing to sort of like sign up to them like I did the other clients, but once I'd clicked on a certain job it then directed me to go through the virtual tour and accreditation test etc. Check all of your clients instead of the towns in the job search and you might be able to see them. :)

Thanks for your reply. No, I've had a good look through the clients and nowt.... I've been with them about three months and only done about six jobs (not really into burgers all the time and too much pizza is very dangerous.... oops, too late!). They haven't phoned me as yet but I'll wait until they do so - not sure if emailing them is a sacking offence too? I'm scared:eek::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm missing your point here what does that have to do with anything.

What have I sad to disrespect him?

My understanding was you don't automatically see coffee jobs - you do have to be invited manually. Something has gone wrong for the OP to be able to see them without being added. I've often wondered if I could email them to ask about them, or if I should wait for a call...

I believe TG's point was you suggested he'd have to break into "the clique" to have his FAQ accepted, and she was pointing out that, even if there were a clique, he wouldn't have to 'break in' to it because he'd be in that theoretical clique.

I thought you had to wait to be invited. Although in saying that, I've only received a phonecall for them once to do a job that was 45 miles away one way, which I said no to, so perhaps I don't have much chance of them ever inviting me. I have done other jobs for them which I've picked up from their site but the well has run dry for me with them which does make me wonder if I'll ever get anything else from them.
