Evening all. :) I have a question about GAP coffee jobs, they talk about supplying certain equipment/measuring devices etc. but haven't mentioned sending them out to me, I've accepted a job for this Sunday and obviously I need that equipment asap if I'm going to be able to complete it. Any help would be much appreciated! :)

How did you get wind of the coffee jobs? I can't see anywhere on the site to sign up? Also, how do I sign up to the stamp jobs on there?

    Any help appreciated!

How long have you been with them? You have to have been at least 3 months. Next time they phone you, ask them about the coffee jobs, you can't automatically see them, you have to ask.

Not sure about the stamp jobs, I saw them as soon as I'd done the client orientation, so maybe ask them about that too.

Hey, they just were on my client list. I hadn't done any thing to sort of like sign up to them like I did the other clients, but once I'd clicked on a certain job it then directed me to go through the virtual tour and accreditation test etc. Check all of your clients instead of the towns in the job search and you might be able to see them. :)

You know what, I've decided that I really like GAP!

(I like GFK too because they tend to pay more, but I don't pick up as many jobs with them as I can with GAP - out of the 32 I have signed up for since I've been MS'ing, 2 have been with RE, 8 with GFK, 2 with GR and all the others with GAP!)

When I first came on here, I read a lot of people saying that they didn't pay enough compared to the rest of the companies and that they found them difficult to work with, but over the last few days they have been really kind in offering to pay me a closed shop fee for a couple of jobs and then allowing me to reschedule the same jobs so that I get a full fee on top of that, basically doubling the fee for each single shop. :D

Plus, over the last few days they have called me a few times in the evenings to offer me jobs that need to be done urgently and today when he called, as a gesture of goodwill he said he would reset my KFC test, which I 'failed' a couple of weeks back. Oh, and this morning a woman called me to let me know that the pizza company had cancelled a wave of jobs that I had selected one of, which I thought was good of them to do. They have always been really quick to respond to any of my enquiries made over the site and are always polite and friendly over the phone.

I just wanted to share that with everyone on here as I get the feeling that GAP has a bit of a low reputation compared with some other companies , but personally I get more jobs with them, which are all pretty simple to carry out and not too many questions to fill in or comments to write (unlike some culprits where you have to write essays, or the ones that want you to write essays but don't give you enough space to do so!!). And I know their fees are relatively low, but I would prefer to do 10 jobs with them for £y amount than one job for 2 x £y amount.

EDIT: Sorry that was so long! I just really wanted to share.

I'd love to, if no one has offered already?

I did the Los Angeles flight and got paid for each way.

If you did it for them at short notice and had expenses to get to the airport then they are willing to negotiate a bit extra for that (only if you did it at short notice though)

Even if you didn't there is no harm in trying is there?

    Good luck to you mate

PS don't forget to keep your boarding passes for your tax returns :)

    There's only ONE fee

Out of which you have to get travel To\From the airport
Hotel costs +food at the destination (unless of course you stay with friends).

I posted this guide a while back, most of it is still relevant
