  • Arggh this is annoying - I wonder if I have my phone number in my details - maybe there is an issue there.

Edit - no just checked, they have all 3 of my phone numbers.

I did one of the phone calls lat night but can't see any others. Then again when I filled in teh census extra questions I noticed I wasn't saying yes to many things, so they are prob looking for different people.

Just out of interest...has anyone got MSPA Shopper Certification? I notice that a few companies ask for it and wondered if you get any benefits from having it? It looks like it's predominently a US thing, could be wrong though!

I used to have an airside pass for Heathrow for two different terminals-wish I still had it now. Took ages to get and until I got it had to be escorted through security by another member of staff after getting a temp pass every shift. Eventually I got an appointment to be security cleared and weirdly one of the other thirty or so people waiting I'd met at an OU summer school a few years earlier. He worked in an entirely different part of the airport and I never knew he was there too.
I'd think anyone living near an airport who can pick up a part time job in duty free would do very nicely out of airside shops with their pass.

Sometimes companies must put a postcode on an assessment (whether it's a call, email or visit) in order for it to be put on their automated allocation systems, it might just be that your postcode does not fall in the x miles radius of the call postcodes.

Bare I didn't get anything for ages-then they rang me with a last moment job -which I did hoping it would kick start things....it didn't. It took another 5 months of applying and then it suddenly I started getting jobs with them and this month I've earned £80 in fees on completed jobs so far -so really not sure what to tell you except don't assume doing one job for them will improve things (The first job I got a 9 so it certainly wasn't the quality of my work that stopped me getting work from them)

They are a bit of a mare to get started with arent they, still once you get odd ones I find that they are pretty good at allocating me two or three jobs in one location on the semi rare occasions they allocate me any.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
