Ha! - No! They just gave me my fee and processed my report. Never once apologised for basically calling me a liar!

Hi... :D no secret im afraid i find i have the same problem i have only done a few jobs with them.... i apply for loads.. and don't really get offered much... or when you are offered work it is because they have been let down, The best thing to do is sign yourself up with as many MS companies as you can, am with around 30 different ones so i get work reguarly from these.... ;)

    Hope that helps...

Does anybody know how you go about getting an airside pass to be able to do some of the airport jobs please.
    Many thanks.

I got one once but never again!

It was an audit and the products were supposed to be landside but when I got to the landside shop, the lady told me all the products were airside. She took me to a security desk where I had to show my company ID card and driving licence and fill in a form, then he issued me with a temporary pass. I had to go up and go through security as if I was going on a flight, so that meant queueing up with all the travellers and I had to take my boots off to go through the body scanner. My briefcase was scanned and I had my scissors confiscated (just a cheap pair for opening boxes on merchandising jobs). Any liquids, creams etc., would have been confiscated too. Then they did a thorough check on my briefcase looking in every pocket and ran some tests on it by wiping it with a special cloth. Not sure what that was for - possibly looking for traces of drugs or explosives?!

Once I got through that, I had to be accompnied at all times during the audit, so the poor shop lady had to stand and watch me as I counted the product I was auditing. Once I'd finished, she had to escort me back through the maze of baggage reclaim and customs, and back to the security desk where I handed my pass back in and got signed off.

If you are thinking about doing one-off airside jobs, by the time you add up the time spent going through security, it really isn't worth your time doing the job. Luckily I was working for a very nice company who gave me some extra cash to cover the time spent and the car parking fees, but not every company is so generous.
Here I go again on my own....

Yes well; the main thing is to get paid, I just don't like being called a liar.
I have NEVER not been paid in all of my years as a MSE (that's Mystery Shopping Expert! :rotfl:)

Yes, nice up here as well - going to Aberdeen for the weekend but only managed to fit in a phone visit :o Still hoping for more!
  • I'm really frustrated because 2 jobs that I applied for on BARE last week have been sitting on my account "pending" for ages. They are due today and if neither have been removed like all the others that weren't allocated to me, then surely there isn't anyone else to do them - so why can't they just let me do the assignment?! I haven't been allocated 1 single assignment since I've been with them and I apply all the time only to have them whisked away into blankness. :(

Today is the final date for both of them to be done - it just doesn't make sense and is so frustrating!
Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x

This is another FAQ (hurry up ukmonkey:rolleyes:)

BARE have a weird (hands "off" ) way of allocating jobs.

Just keep applying and if it really knarks you then RING them up and ask what is going on.

They are usually Ok to talk to and this will also raise your profile (hoepfully in a good way!)

I got allocated my first Bare job yesterday - it was the 5th job I applied for, and the other 4 are still pending.

It's a storecard one, so I hope it's okay! Good fee so that will be something exciting for me to do on a lunch break next week. = )

A bit of a stupid question probably, but it keeps mentioning my "questionnaire" but how do I look at this!? I've managed to find the "quiz" but it says I ought to have read the questionnaire before doing the quiz. Just wondering as my questionnaire tells me which department to buy an item from should I have to.

EDIT - Really stupid question, have figured it out now!
