I called Lloyds TSB this monring, and they have now found my paper work. It appears that the request from the FOS spurred Lloyds into action. I was told that I, and the FOS, would be getting an update withi a week. I also requested that Lloyds send me a copy of my signed agreement. They informed me that this would be included with the update.

I asked why it had taken so long, and why it took a letter from the FOS, to locate the information. They could not explin why.

I will update this thread when I hear back.

Well Lloyds TSB have sent me a "letter" today.

They are not upholding my complaint, but they are offering less than 10% of the initial upfront fee (PPI).

I have contacted the FOS, and they have requested copies of the letter. I have sent them in to them. I will be writing to Lloyds TSB and informing them that we will NOT be accepting their offer and decision. I will also be re-informing them that I have an ongoing complaint with the FOS.

Lloyds TSB did not send this to the FOS, only to me.

Hi there and good for you.
It's not fair that they try fobbing you off with a low amount to what you should be getting refunded.
I'm sure the FOS will put this right for you, good luck.;)

I spoke to the FOS this morning. They have informed me that they have a delay of 3-4 weeks due to the back log. They will then be able to look into my claim.

I asked what was the average complaint duration......and was informed it could take a year.

Oh well. Lets see what happens next.
This is as about as far as I've got.
Luckily I now know someone on the inside so we'll see if they come up with the goods!

From what I can gather this constitutes a 'final answer' and means FOS can now start their investigation proper. They will give Lloyds around a month to give them all the documentation supporting their side of the story and then make their decision. If they do find in your favour you'll probably find they then give lloyds a further month or 2 to make payment!! Everything seems to be a case of "Oh we'll give them about a month" between stages - very frustrating!!

Well its been a while, but finally some news.

I have a letter from the FOS yesterday, and it appears that Lloyds TSB have agreed to make a settlement. No values we mentioned, but the after reading the paper work and a quick call to the FOS, it appears that I will be getting back my PPI amount, minus a small reabate that Lloyds gave us when we settled 6 months early, plus 8% simple interest PA.

I was told that Lloyds have a habbit of leaving it until that last minute to pay up......so I do not expect to see any money returned to me for 12 weeks.

I will not be getting any compensation, as this did not get assigned an adjudddicator.....I wanted closure on this matter, plus it could have taken another 9 months, or more, to resolve this.

I will update with more information as I get it.

Hi, hope your well and that is great news, well done.

My hubby have been waiting for his pay out from Lloyds since November, but the FOS after contacting them said they were going to contact them on our behalf for an update, even though the file is now closed, maybe worth you doing the same if you not received anything by 6-8 weeks, good luck.;)

I have just had a letter from Lloyds TSB.

They will be paying us just over 8K.....within 21 days.

This claim has taken 10 months.............which I belive is fairly short for a Lloyds TSB claim.

Thanks to this forum and its users for the information on how to claim.
