I want a red Quinny

if it doesn't recline i wonder why my friend ordered one, she's pregnant or maybe it's a different model she ordered. it's black. she wants it because of how it looks though, and i don't suppose her baby will spend much time in it, she doesn't walk anywhere or use buses.
just realised there's no point thinking about a quinny anyway (although i expect my maclaren to last until baby's out of it anyway) because i'm pregnant (i keep forgetting!!) so i'll be using a double buggy until roo walks, and then back to the trusty maclaren for the youngest i suppose.
off topic sorry! i haven't seen the quinny cheap anywhere anyway, sorry, although ebay can be worth a look.52% tight0 -
Jellyhead, have you seen the buggypod? I don't know how good they are but if you already have a buggy suitable for a newborn you could maybe get something like that for your toddler. Or use a sling for your soon to be latest addition and the buggy for your older son."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0

does a buggypod attach onto a buggy, like a motorbike sidecar? i think i've seen it in a baby mag. i'll start looking into it all soon, need a solution with a high handle height because i have a tall husband, and has to be roomy for roo because he's such a large child, in 12-18 month clothes at 6 months old and the new baby might be a big one too. roo hated the baby sling, maybe newborn won't be as grumpy as roo though lol!
oooh yes, buggypod is definitely worth looking into http://www.gltc.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?language=en-GB&productID=G922052% tight0 -
Unfortunatly the Quinny Zapp is one of the few buggies that the buggypod will not fit on! It will fit other quinny models I think.
We use the quinny zapp and I find it pretty good. Its good for shopping I find as it can fit in shops well, as long as you've someone else with you to carry things! I normally manage to get a nappy bag/handbag on it with no bother, much else and it will tip. although I did see a woman the other day with a weight attacted to the front wheel - great idea. Likes someone else said though the cosey toes looks lovely and warm but it always slips down when I put our daughter (16 months but been using this since about 8 months) in it.
Another reason we got it is because its good for travel - will get its first test tomorrow, as we are flying easyjet to london and back in one day (from newcastle) and are hopeful we can take it on as hand luggage, as we'll want to do the same flying to new zealand in a few months time.0 -
instead of the usual cosytoes i use a buggy snuggle, they come with ties at the top so you can tie it onto the buggy, that way it doesn't slip.
you can get weights for the front of buggies, they're called tip me not and they're from somewhere abroad i think, but everyone seems to be out of stock of them. i want some too!52% tight0 -

I've got a mutsy spider on order. It looks quite trendy (bit like the quinny) has a storage bit underneath and multiposition seat.
I really hope it's okay!!!!0 -

I can see why its reduced. I am afraid orange it not my colour! Thanks for the effort though. After reading everyones comments I am not sure if I want a Quinny anymore. All I really need is a chassis which allows a car seat to be fit on it. Had a quick look on Mothercare website and they are mega expensive.0 -

My son did a massive seat drop in it and now it won't collapse! Sorry to hijack the thread but has anyone else had this happen (maybe without the seat drop bit
). I can't fix it and don't want to take it apart in case I can't put it back together again.
I really love my quinny as I can push it easily but can't afford another.:smileyhea0
