Hi Catspaw
All that talk of plants reminds me that spring is going to come! Its good to hear that allottments are thriving - how many people are in your group trying to get land for new allottments? Lemon Tree - are you still involved in your committee?
Hope all goes well with the forms and preparation to move.

Spring is definateely on the way, have come back from seeing the estate agent: all I have to do now is wait and hope.
It is lovely in the sun and I can see snowdrops and the first fewe croucus starting to pop up.
I have also gott back on the PAD bandwagon afetr a month away and have paid £10 off today.Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
Hi, yes i'm still on the committee despite wanting to chuck it back at them a couple of times recently. Got our pre meeting, committee meeting this thurs. which i really must remember to go to and take the bank forms for them to fill in. We've now got 4 beds dug in our allotment with half left to do, and i haven't even started thinking about seeds yet - though we've got a lot i haven't actually planted anything. Last year i think i started too early and wasted a lot, so i'm going to give it a couple more weeks i think.0

Keep going with it LT, you know it will be worth it just try to rise above anybody being a pain in the a**e.
CBM: you're dininishing total is amazing, wish I could be that good/motivated.
Didn't reepot my plants yestereday got too caught up in work, and def won't get time to do it today. Am taking my housemate to see a new place and then popping down to the agents to hopefuuly sign all the forms and then for a nice long muddy run, then feed DD's and off to TKD as we have a club demonstration tonight.
On the MSE side of things I am about to make my PAd for today of £10 on the CC's. Will update sig in a min.
I am well aware that I will not be debt free by sept this year but I am going to have a bloody good go at it. I need to move firts and clear the CC's but am def not going to set a date and beat myself up about it.
I know that I have not been good at keeping a spending diary so really should keep a spread sheet, but I don't understand them abd therefore keep putting it off:DProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

There are some pretty patches of crocuses around here too, I can't wait for spring 'proper'. Last year we grew some carrots and lettuces in tubs which were ok. When do we make a start on doing that - you've obviously got seedlings Catspaw so are we too late?
Lemon Tree - all that digging! What sort of things are you going to grow when you do get that far?
Regarding the money, I think you're right to get the move out of the way first, and just try to be 'careful' when you do it. Let us know if you want some butt kicking
Cheers

CBM butt kicking is always appreciated.
I am worried because I knwo I will still have to pay all the bills from this place that my housemate hasn't been payign as well as the ones on the new place, which is a pain.
The agent/landlord....not sure which is being a pain about my moving date, they refuse to let me move whenn the contract runs out I HAVE to be in in the next forrtnight......so rent on that place and this:eek:, I have to raise £750 in 2 weeks....there is nothing at all going down here apart from 1 beds:eek: which is no good with DD's, how on earth I am going to manage it I don't know.
the place I am in now has tenents waiting to move in......if only I can get the landlord to hold off till the end of the monthProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

hope the landlord holds off for you.
we're planning on growing all the regulars that we enjoy, fingers crossed we may even end up needing another freezer for the excess veggies. that's the aim anyway.0 -
CBM I planted mine a few weeks ago and they are on the window sill.
I have just realised that the agent is trying to rip me off:mad: he wants me to move in and pay £750 for a months rent but I will only be living there for 2 weeks for this month.... think I might have to have a word about that.Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
you definitely need a word with him about his scheming ways! got to get it straight from the very start.0

Oh I will on Friday:mad:, I think the other thing is, that as the council are paying my rent they pay on the last Sat of the month, now if I move in and the agent says my rent runs from 15th-15th then my money won't hit my account for another 2 weeks and I can't pay the rent anyway........I did explain this when I initially spoke to him but looksm like I might have to have a very very clear conversation and ask to move in on first.
I did another search last night on properties and there are 3 1 bewd flats going that is it.
Maybe I will have to move into a 1 bed and let the DDs have the room and I will sleep in the living room:mad::mad: I won't really know till tmw when I see the agent as he is closed today.
Am thinking that also with the checks I have no idea how long they will take to do so I might be homeless in 2 weeks, and then the council will NOT house me, as it was my choice to hand my notice in and therefore I have intentially made myself homeless..
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
