Hi Cinny!
I am loving the diary, will be a great way for you to keen an eye on your spendings etc!
We are going to do a carboot next weekend too, hoping for nice weather0 -
Hi Wendz! I'm hoping the weather is good too, just looked on the forcast and it's meant to get sunnier towards the end of the week. Fingers crossed the weather man is right!
Woke up this morning and honestly thought it was Tuesday, it's only day 1 of the week and my head's already all over the place!
To do list for this week:
Post letter to Tesco CC
Cheap train tickets to London (for Mums birthday)
Cheap London Hotels (ditto!)
Pick up new Cat Collars
Price Cakes for weekend
3 NSDs
2 DooYoo reviews
Get boxes for eBay items
List 2 more eBay items
Take Library books back
Going to be using the Tescos CC to book the break in London for Oct once it gets here, I know I said I never want to rely on CCs but I have the money saved. It's 0% interest so I figure my money mareswell be earning me some more in my savings account, and I can just pay it off in October before we go.
Should be paying my parents off by another £100 today. My sister bought my Wii off me a few months ago and she's just got paid so I should get the money tonight. Leaving me with only £100 to pay off to meet my £235 target. :j I'm getting there!
Had a mild panic attack last night, not helped by my cat trying to paw my face (while I was sat up too, I think that's quite a talent), thinking I'm not going to be able to meet Julys DDs the way I'm going. I remembered this morning I have £10 in my amazon account, £8ish coming from musicmagpie and some hopeful ebay sales so with a bit of a push from next weekends carboot I should have it all sorted and saved before the month has even started.. well, I live in hope! Need to do some more workings out tonight, as last nights (the belly ache inducer) was done while slightly distracted by BB.
My main worry is OH at the moment, although he has random MSE outbursts he can be careless with money. He has his car insurance next month so I'm making it my mission to be as sneakily MSE with him as possible and come out the other side of July looking a bit perkier than this month. Although we do have a weekend in Kent in three weeks, but OH claims to have budgeted for that so we should be okay.0 -
That's the problem with all these moneymaking ventures, keeping track of where all your money is! I might put music magpie on my 'to look into' list, but I'm as bad with CDs as I am with books, the only ones I'm willing to get rid of will be worth nothing!
Good luck with the list and hope the cold clears up in time for the stall!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Get things together for Carboot
Made £10 on Quidco :j Which is spurring me on to do the other free offers tonight.
30 minutes till hometime, had a headache all day just want to go home and sleep!
ETA: Got home to find my Musicmagpie cheque is already here, and an email to say my amazon money is being moved into my bank account too, so that's £18 towards next months direct debits already. Need to completely rework my budget for this week as I'm getting about £10 less than normal, which has to be pulled from somewhere. Blah, money!0 -
Hi Cinny! :hello:
Having a diary helps to keep track of stuff, don't you think? Sounds like you're doing well!
I agree with the Tesco CC thing. Cuz I know you're probably more sensible than me and would actually pay it off!
When is your first stall for the cupcakes? This weekend?Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21
House Deposit Savings : £8,600/£25,0000 -
Hi Zig! Yep, it's this weekend if things go to plan. I'm completely freaking out though, this stall is going to be way too big, it's like 3 tables! I'd much rather wait until the charity stall in August for my first one. Ho-hum, but what can I do?
Paid another £100 to my parents. Down to £450 now! Just about to start next weeks scary budget. Can't wait until July's over and I have lots of lovely money freed up! Until then I'll make do with window shopping.

Just had a call from the woman I work with, she can't make it in this afternoon so that's an extra 4 hours I wasn't expecting :j on the down side I didn't bring any lunch, bar a banana and a cereal bar, I have nothing to eat so I might have to break my NSD and go get something to eat. The village bakery is pretty cheap but you have to get there fast before the sandwiches vanish.
Been looking at my contract phone and feeling pretty grizzly about it. I'm paying £27 a month for something I can get for £10 on PAYG. Only 5 months left on my contract and I can switch to PAYG, going to start looking for cheap Nokia 6111s (the Cath Kidston ones) and hopefully be able to get a good deal. I'd stick with my Blackberry but it's constantly connected to the internet for some unknown reason and it'd cost me an arm and a leg.
Cancelled my stall for this weekend, it's just going to be too big for me to handle for my first stall. But I've got the charity one which'll be good practise for seeing what recipes sell best, and all the money goes to a fantastic Old folks home.
Just had another 40p come through on Quidco - not breaking the bank but better than nothing. Things are starting to feel a bit better moneywise.
ETA: Make that £1.40!
Worked out that in the past two weeks I've made an extra £29.48. Nothing compaired to what some people manage to make but I'm pretty chuffed!0 -
Still though, you could buy yourself a dress or something with that and feel like you've earned the treat. You've reminded me to get on Quidco actually thanks.
When is the charity stall?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I'm going to be dull and put them towards next months direct debits. Although a dress would be nice! Any money I make from ebay over the next few weeks is going to be put towards my mobile for November, so I'll class that as a treat! I have way too many funds atm!
The Charity stall is nearing the end of next month, gives me plenty of time to try out new recipes. Got a few bookmarked to try this weekend!
Have you done the £10 Times offer Tete? Tracked within a few hours, dead chuffed!0 -
Just got a call from OH to say he's won £25, and in the same breath his mate has gambled it away. Grr! He says he's going to pay it back though, just a pain for OH as that = petrol money!
Been floating around doing the daily clicks from ELs guide and I've got *drum roll* £11.15 Ta-Daaaaaa just a matter of keeping them up to reach payout now!
Also have a free trial box coming from graze on Friday which will be nice!
Quite chuffed looking at my online banking, only one transaction since payday and that was when I took the money out of the bank Friday. With nothing coming out until Friday, I think this might be a Cinny first!

Get an extra hour in bed tomorrow :j Going out on my bike in the morning for a ride and to drop my library books off. Leaving my money at home so I can't get guilted into giving the Big Issue guy my change.0
