Whatever the outcome, this is now my final post on this matter.

I would like to thank everyone for their input to this thread and very well done if you had a result.

We have come far since June, T&Cs have been changed and the might of external law firms brought onto the payroll.

My biggest thanks goes to Ellen Morgan, Trading Law Manager who once said on the steps of Newbury Court "do what you like Mr. Beckett"

Well. I hope I have not disappointed.

You certainly have not disappointed Tom, we have come far and probably 90% is down to you - well done Sir, a true inspiration to a Money Saving Consumer Revenge website.
Good luck for the future and hopefully many. many more bargains - cheers, to the next one.

Due to a gagging order I am unable to provide an update on my claim.

However I can report that the empty space I had in my kitchen that was 600mm wide now contains a nice shinny new zannussi dishwasher! :rotfl::T

“Without Prejudice” and using the now traditional phrase “this is my last post”
Thanks to all posters on this website. For me it was, in my personal opinion, more the case of being treated very shabbily by a large organisation. I could accept that occasionally things can go wrong but it is how you correct those mistakes. B&Q just showed a dogged determination in my view not to attempt to satisfy me. And yes, I was in court this week on this issue at the start of the process. BP provided a barrister who, was actually human and suggested I contacted the named person at BP. I found the person I rang at BP courteous and able to suggest a way to move the issue forward without going to court. If you have the time to follow this through then going to court is always an option. If not why not ring BP and talk. It was explained to me by their barrister that BP would not make the first contact.
So in the end I have accepted an offer to settle my claims out of court which I believe is fair and proportionate for both sides. The one issue I forgot to ask in the offer is for a donation to http://www.justgiving.com/lossofbargain. Please anyone who goes down this route, ask for a given sum to be donated to this worthwhile charity as part of your settlement.

    Well done balloonist. :T
You can also thank Tom HERE http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1978845&highlight=lynsey- it was only by reading the dishwasher thread that I realised of the possibility of winning. I have a lot of respect for what Tom has achieved and the effort he has put in. I also believe a lot of pressure was put on B&Q when Tom first set up his site/blog, without this help and info a lot would not have bothered chasing up any potential claim, it would just have been seen as "the one that got away". Yes we could have won, but would we have tried without Tom's help and guidance??
